best paint to use

hey im going to re do my blacked out headlights,
what black do you ppl think is the best paint to use?

i want something that looks like a stock black headlight
like ones from a mazda 3
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

i currently have flat black but want something darker
ive tried a low gloss black but it was kind of flat as well but shiny

anybody know a good paint that would look stock
color/brand?

i know waht u mean... i used flat "black" to spray the grey part of my tailights and it was just really dark grey. i think ur best bet is buy some outdoor furniture paint (like housepaint) and brush it on good cus that will probably be the best darkest longest lasting

i actually blacked mine out with the factory nighthawk black paint that i had put in a spray can. then i put a light clear coat on it. looks sweet, shines just like the car does. i asked the guys at the paint shop about heat problems and they said it wont matter because its not close enough to the lights.

i used high temp. paint. it's used for like painting outdoor grills and things. it worked well. it's flat black. i would make look for a satin black instead. just a little shiney.
