it doesnt matter how tall or wide it is...its all about the depth of the intercooler. it'd be quicker w/ a regular size one..b/c its not a huge engine.

I disagree. If the point of the intercooler is to cool the air before it enters the engine, wouldn't a thick intercooler be a waste because there is less of the air in the intercooler in contact wit hthe metal.

Typically, a larger intercooler has more surface area over which the heat transfer can occur. The greater the surface area (given the same transfer medium), the greater the amount of heat transfered. As usual, better quality can make up for a smaller size. Having a better transfer medium, such as aluminum, will increase the drop in temperature. Also, surface area can increase without using a large intercooler, by using more and smaller fins. More fins, though, means less air which can fit between them.

he would need a huge turbo to fill that up but a civic has no where near enough displacement for that. he is an ***. a smaller fmic would work alot better! less space to fill and honestly do you really think its making it that much cooler to increase turbo lag and reduce efficiency alot. i think not.

Am I mistaken to say that most people put on compressed air sprayers since cooling an intercooler with N20 is horribly cost in-effective?

I've seen intercoolers like this before..I've asked about this car and my friends said that it can be done but not too sure how it would perform.

I don't know what your seeing but that isn't a SOHC engine. So displacement . Looks like an h22 block.

2.2 L still isnt alot. but the major thing here is that i still doubt the engine can exhaust enough to EFFICIENTLY spin a turbo enough to fill that FMIC. There is no way a smaller cooler wouldnt work better. smaller fmic=less volume to pressurize, but also a smaller FMIC will be able to cool as effectivly.

Unless you are running huge boost, like 30psi, then you dont need that much cooling. Also no 4 cylinder should be filling that up well at 30psi if AT ALL with any turbo!

So im saying its a waste
