Strut Bar Question
I have a 2004 Honda Civic Ex with a Aem short ram air intake and I was wanting to buy a strut bar, but i was wondering if I you put the strut bar on will it hit the intake. My brother had a 2000 civic and he had an intake and a strut bar and the strut bar would hit the intake and it would make a noise when he would drive because the intake would vibrate and keep hitting the strut bar. Will this happen on the 04 civics. Let me know. And also want brand of strut bars do you guys think is the best.
if u get a generic strut bar off like ebay, yeah it'll hit the intake and it sucks. it dented mine, even after i grinded a lot out of the bar, it'll still hit. dont get a generic "JDM' one....get a DC or neuspeed.
Trust me on this one, i've tried a lot of uper front strut bar and he's my verdict. With AEM Intake's the only strut that will fit is the DC Sport #3018. it got a curve that clear the intake. The only down side is the price. here in Can it's $230... i'll have mine on marsh
Even the NS strut did'nt fit...

I use generic strut bar with a generic intake and no hit at all, you can mod the intake a bit upper of the pastic rubber then no problem for sure. But I still recommend you to buy either DC or neuspeed strut, it's looks much better and tight!
