If it makes you feel better, I'm going to keep an equal balance of black and chrome on mine. Decided to stick with the theme already present on the stock car with black grills and rain gutters, but chrome badges and light housings. My friends recommend gunmetal rims, but I couldn't find a style I liked. White or birght silver was my next option, but I couldn't think of any other features to make white, haha.

1) Clearly an acquired taste that you have, that I don't have.
2) Because I don't like blue cars that are painted half black, I have bad tastes. Sure, you're right.
3) Not particularly, cutting down the shifter was subtle difference considering how big it was. Completely different from painting my gas door a different color to be "jdm"

People can do what ever they want to their cars, I really don't care. If someone posts their car I can say what ever I want about it. Quit being so butt hurt.

I like the black/blue combination myself. Unfortunately black is one of the only colors that you can do anything with on a blue civic so people do it.

If i ever changed the scheme of my car id probably have my wheels powdercoated gold, buy stock looking led taillights, and lower it on coils?

To me it just makes you look like a WRX STI wannabe. I mean... yes... we all want one of those, but the blue/gold combo is pretty exclusive to that car.

I think the reaction is because this isn't what most of us would call a "clean" 7th gen. Especially not with that much flare. No offense, but it's leaning towards the ricer side. Haha, I still like it though!

Yea, JDM is clean, not to flashy, not to far from OEM. The title is off anyway!! Look at the cars that are more in the beginning of the thread. No body kits, OEM wing, no 4inch muffler can.
