Wish I never sold my Civic for the S4
own the car 2 months and it has been in the shop 10 times. 1st time 5 days after deliver. I find out what is wrong on the internet and tell them and they can not figure what is causing the CEL to come on. Dealer flys in engineers from germany to work on car, they tell dealer they need to change the same part # i gave them 2 weeks earlier(coolant system parts). Pick up car and 30 miles later the engine blows. coolant in 2 of the cylinders due to their sloppy work.

Rep Power: 396 Damn that stinks. Wish you would of asked me for advice before you made your purchase. I used to work for an Audi dealer. The build quality on Audi's/Vw's, isnt as great as the build quality on Mercedes or BMW. Audi and VW's still have major problems, in fact they are the same problems that the cars have been having for years. Don't get me wrong, the S4 is a hot car that is really fast and handles amazing....thats not the problem....The problem is the reliability on the car and the quirky problems that they have.

Rep Power: 0 well i think they will give me my money back if i want it.
i may get another S4. Trust me I have been through a horrible experience from delivery to today and I am still thinking about getting another one. Anyone who has made a negative comment about the S4 has never sat in the drivers seat. The car is just amazing, I have drove everything from a pinto to a lambo and nothing comes close to its handling in that price range. I have witnessed S4 avants( that is a station wagon) walk on Porsche around the track. The car just sticks to the road no matter what you throw at it.
But I will say you guys did warn me about the service issues. I bought a lemon, every company has them and Audi has only 25 more than Honda in the last 2 years...that info is available on the net.
My other choice I am thinking about is a Caddy SRX, land rover LR3, or maybe a used C4 ???

Rep Power: 0 well im not hating or anything. the s4 is a great car but there are just better cars out there for the money! if i was in your shoes i would get an M3 or a lexus GS430. both cost about the same and will give you far less problems than the audi. but im pretty sure you just got unlucky with the s4, get another one i guess.

I know I can't find teh specific webpage you are talking about, but I'm guessing they are talking about the total number of cars that have fallen under the lemmon law in a specific year by a specific manufacture, and if that's the case, then Honda wooped Audi's rear becasue the precentage of honda's would be way lowwer becasue a lot more hOnda are amde than Audi's and if they both have about the same amount of lemmons, well you get the idea, but that's just my interpertation.

I had a VW. The quality is terrible, thats why I have a Honda now. Your experiences define what VW/Audi stands for. Something stupid goes wrong with the car, they don't know how to fix it.
