Rep Power: 0 CIVIC 01 Coupe Leather PICS ARE UP ON p3 - **NEW PICS p4**
I bought my car last wednesday. I thought I'd give some details for everyone to enjoy! 11,500$ canadian btw...
The car is a Honda Civic 2001 Coupe.
LX Trim: Electric Group, Cruise
Excel Honda Option: Tint, Spoiler, Black LEATHER!!!
5-Speed Manual (comment removed out of respect for fellow members)
70,000 certified km (shocks and brakes recently replaced)
Currently, the car is at the bodyshop undergoing some cleanup
Shaving ALL EMBLEMS from the trunk, installing the TypeR grill (no emblem) in the front, painting everything to match the black color of the car (mirrors, door handles, etc) and getting rid of little dents, scratches and dings.
GOING FOR AN ALL BLACK "CLEEEEEAN" LOOK.
Next summer, I'm planning to add Rota Circuit 8 Gunmetal rims and TYC Black Housing Projector Headlights.
Tell me what you guys think! (PICS will be posted when I get the car back from the shop at the end of this week)
THANKS!

Rep Power: 343 Congratulations. Nothin wrong with auto rides btw (mine's stick). But I DO think everyone should learn to drive stick. I found myself driving automatics better once I got the mechanics of a 5-speed down....it just helped me control my right foot even more.

Rep Power: 0 i agree, modding any 7th gen to be fast is dumb in my opinion,
modding a 7th gen automatic to be fast is worst
they're econoboxes and are all about getting MPG
That's like buying a mustang and modding it to get better MPG?

Rep Power: 0 Guys ... relax...!!!
Look .. where I'm from (Montreal), you should all see the junk we are exposed to (Auto Civic HB with altezza, exhaust that you can put your head in, tall *** terminator wing and chrome hubcap spinners). That's the type of car i don't have respect for.
btw.. i'd take an automatic Accord V6 over a Civic Manual. I had to pay for the car myself, and I went for a good reliable car with lots of potential.
I don't think you can call my car a ricerocket... (for now... lol)
Thanks for all your comments =)

Rep Power: 295 man if u dont take it to a good bodyshop there's gonna be a lot of bondo on that thing and better make sure they're good at painting cuz if they dont do a good job with black (which is one of the hardest colors to shoot) they're gonna get a lot of orange peel and runs in the paint which will show up...well nice pickup and hope it turns out clean

Rep Power: 0 I actually brought it to a bodyshop that a local BMW/Nissan & Honda dealership outsources repair paintjob to. So basically, I'm getting the same job done at half the cost. (factory thickness with 2 clear coat)

Rep Power: 269 Welcome to the site FaZe .. noticed you also posted on M-R.com but I tend to view this board more (guess its because I prefer english > french )
Anyways, hope to see some pictures (would love to see before & after )
There is a regional forum if you didn't notice (scroll down in forum list: Canada East Not many fellow Montrealers truly active in there, but well just letting you know.

Rep Power: 295 well if dealerships use it, than it should have somewhat of a good rep...but 2 layers of clear is not needed...after doing auto painting myself 1 good layer of true clear not any clearcoat with yellow or blue tint to it should be good after some wetsanding with 2000 grit sandpaper and buffing and polishing would make it look real nice...well good luck to ya...hope they do a good job
