1988 Civic Sedan...
I Have A Friend Who Is Selling A 1988 Civic Sedan, It Has 175,000 Miles, And It Is Very Clean Despite Some Rust Spots On The Outside. He Is Selling It For $945 But I Can Talk Him Down. I Wanted To Get This Just To Put Away My 01 Civic For The Winter. What Do You Guys Think About This Deal? Is It Really Worth It? I Was Thinking About Fixing It Up And Make It Look Nicer. Thanks Again Guys As Always.

Rep Power: 0 i wouldn't do it. a civic is not some sort of supercar that can't be driven in snow or cold. i drive mine all year round and the paint looks amazing if thats what your worried about. id save the money and invest boost into your 7thgen.
945 is too expensive. theorectically that car isnt worth anything... if he would go to a dealer to trade it in they would give him 50 bucks to take it off his hands.
i got my 1992 maxima beater with 200k miles for 400 bucks..... thats still somewhat high for a car with that many miles and age.
i wouldnt pay him more then 500 bucks...... remember, registration is another 100 bucks, then emmission and inspection another 60...... **** will add up and its not worth it for a beater in that condition.
i would say dont pay more then 500 for it

thats too much still. no more then 500. when you get a beater that chepa every 20 bucks counts.
like i said before, that car is worth less then the 500....
