Rep Power: 0 Shaved and repainted my 93' DX
This is kind of a repost but i only got 1 reply before and i was wondering what everyone thought.
Here's my work car. I shaved all emblems, trunk lock and the best part was the entire side body molding. There was like a 1/2" long valley that it ran down for the entire length of the car. I thought the molding just stuck to the side but the sheetmetal actually has a channel that it embeds into. Plus there was major rust on all 4 wheelwells and a large crease dent on the front fender of the side that the pictures are on from sliding into a stop sign while i was messing around one winter And the mirrors, handles and bottom trim of the car is factory black.
I still need to touch up the black trim around the windows and remove some overspray and sand and buff but what do you think so far. and is it better or worse than what an original looks like with the black mirror and undertrim and body molding. The last image is stock.
Oh yea, and i put the exhaust off my 02 EX on this 93 dx...with some minor fabrication
It was getting dark when i took the pic so it looks offwhite but it isnt.
And i almost forgot to say that the car had hale damage all over the trunk, hood, roof and the top of all 4 corners. So with all the bondoing and fiberglass the whole job has taken me 4 months.

As far as doing a swap, yea that would be nice since this car is Soooo light. No power anything and very small. Also it would be funny to see a mustang get spanked by an old 4 door vic But yea. I dont wanna spend on this car. I'm going for the frank k20/k242/boosted/nos swap on my new car.
And for any of you looking to do any body work on your car. As long as you have a big compressor and some tools its all pretty simple. This was my first time and it turned out pretty good.
