My first engine mod.. yay.. (sorta)

ill get pics as soon as i get my camera back

anyway i installed cold air on my car.. was a cheap kit off ebay. i plan to buy a new filter for it since i htink the one i got is ****?

anywho i ran it over and down. its pressently siting behind the engine fan just bellow my battery...

is this an ok location? i thought the fan blowing cold air would be a plus? maybe not?

took me three frigin hours to install
im not really engine smart.. and that was the first itme i had eVER touched my vic's engine..

anywho any comments?
i plan a new 2.5 inch exhaust (cant decide on muffler yet)

and new headers...
- i need info on these lol. know of any good sites? i hear the header swap cleans ups ome HP

pics coming soon

APEXI STYLE CATBACK EXHAUST

its not the real apexi please would u really believe u could find an apexi cat back for 145 us? should be at least around 350+
and if ur goin to get a cat back go for the n1 turbo muffler..
as for the headrs.. if u really want to waste ur money get the dc sport

you better of starting the suspension work tho instead of the bolt ons.. if ur planing goin turbo in the future.. i would say some clean rims... shocks coilover strut bars.. etc etc etc

well u got the cai right.. its supposed to be suckin in "cold air" but it reall doesnt .. not in our cars at list.. it does but not as much.. if u noticed the header is located right by it ( the downpipe )
short ram is the same as cai.. just shorter lol and suck in air from the engine bay.. i believe it warmer.. but its not as dangerous in the winter.. so just get it for anycase for the winter

*pic of the short ram*

its not dangerous its just warmer air is less dense, so the engine doesnt get as much air during intake... and its sucking in hot air from the engine anyways, unless you have true ram air, or a functional intake on the bumper.
in fact the stock intake is quite good at suckin in cooler air efficiently

well the original took air form right behind the battery this pulls air from the engine fan. i'd of thoguht this owuld be cooler?
will probably change it to a short ram air intake once i can get it chopped at work.
