clear would look better on silver imo, unless you have rims and grill to match the black. Just having black headlights won't flow very well.
I think you should clear them out but unfortunately, it's "black them out"s turn in replys so I'm going to have to go with black them out. Oh and if you do black them out, consider a CF hood.
im not sure if blacked out would look good on silver if u dont have a theme going unlike on a red car or something where it looks good, i would say just go with what u like better and look at other peoples silver cars
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

clear. i just bought a second set of oems to clear so i can keep the current ones on the car till its done. i suggest you do the same then sell the old housings for what you paid for the extra set.

Match it to your rims, sorta like what gearbox said. With silver it's nice to have contrast so what I did with my SSM EL was gunmetal headlights then matching gunmetal rims with polished lip. If you're gonna go with silver rims, then keep em cleared.
It's like matching your shades to your shoes. It's such a little thing but the look of the car is more "integrated", for lack of a better word, if the rims and the headlight housings are at least similar colours. Let's not get into chrome though, ha ha.

quick question here... what kind of stick stuff is in your headlight when you cleard them? coz my friend and i tried to cleard his 01 sedan. but its to hard to pull the "grey stick" glue. mine is 02 coupe and i saw that mine got BLACK glue.. or whatever you call that sticky stuff. so you got black or grey? thanxxxx sorry about this question on your thead.. pls help here
u could try both black em out and clear em out.. or just black em out and leave the amber... its w.e flows the best with the car.. depends what rims u got grill... etc... so whatever flows the best keep it

haha!
I have a white car with white rims and I have my heads cleared and I think it looks friggin' sweet. That's my personal opinion. Buncha other folks tell me the same thing though. I'm getting a CF hood and I bought some of the aftermarket headlights that are supposedly gunmetal/black housing. They look very nice to me. They aren't exactly gunmetal..not exactly black. But they match the color of the CF hood pretty well. I'm also going to tint my tails. Sort of a black/white/ thing going on. Interior still tan though...hmm...wtf to do next.

1. Remove Headlamps completely (bulbs taken out and everything)
2. Wipe off the clear plastic pieces pretty good (you dont want the oils, bugs, and wutnot to mess it up...just to be safe)
3. Place one headlamp on a cookie sheet or something big enough.
4. Preheat to 210 degrees
5. Place in for 15 minutes
6. Immediatly pull apart the two main pieces.
7. Pop out all of the plastic pieces and tape off desired parts.
8. Put a few coats on..let sit for atleast 20 minutes.
9. Put it all the plastic insides back together
10. Put it back in the oven for 15 mins. again
11. Just to be safe put some more silicon back on.
12. Enjoy the new look and the compliments.
it may seem a little tedious but...its better to be safe than sorry. I hope this helps.
