i carpetted my back deck before. it helped there, but i didn't go so far as to do all the panels. just wedge crud behind the panels and it'll do the same thing (scrap cloth like towels, t-shirts, whatever) and not look so funny

bluestreak is an unknown quantity at this point
yeah, cloth jammed in rear deck / rear glass works good but I got tagged for no third brake light being visible, it's always something

when i put in my 6x9's I took the rear deck and put about 3 layers of weather stripping - the stuff used for doors and windows so no air gets through the tiny seems...that stuff works well. It comes in rolls and has an adheisive backing that you can just roll on. I did it on the very edge where the deck hits the glass w/2 layers on top of each other..then i did around the speakers , no more rattle at all! well...no rattle inside at least

all I did was put a black cloth over my 3rd brake light (I have a spoiler so my 3rd brake light isnt functional) it looks a little weird cause obviously a rag doesnt look the same as tint.. but unless u study it i dont think it looks too bad, I dont really notice much rattling..
