Worth buying a muffler.
Hey.. Is it worth buying a muffler or just waiting to buy a cat back?
Just getting a muffler put on doesn't do anything correct?

muffler doesn't do anything and most if not some sound ricey as ****......catbacks are the way you wanna go...period. Even though catbacks aren't gonna give you crazy hp it's still the way you wanna go instead unless you wanna sound like a bee
...and plus it's more towards performance anyways....that's the only "Engine Mod" i have done. Joined: Sep 2002

If you get a good rear section, then get it. Catbacks are a waste of money unless you have turbo. My thermal actually sounds deeper than most catbacks do. Just don't go shopping on ebay for bomb and fireball mufflers.
I have an axl back and it sounds good but not ricey. Your si has much more potential than my coupe so you should plan your buildup first then buy what you want so you don't have to buy things twice.I wish I got the si .
