A taste of whats to come this weekend :)
SWEET!! I had a complete air suspension in my Integra last summer. My father and I did all the work. I actually used the project for my Senior Project Report when I graduated from my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have this huge report with pictures, charts, calculations, etc. I have to say, nothing felt cooler than dropping the car when stopping at a light and having everyone turn their heads.
I actually just sold the setup. I still have the air struts though. BRAND FREAKIN NEW!! Couldn't find a buyer. I had the AIR RIDE TECHNOLOGIES ARC4800 setup with dual 5 gallon tanks, 2 Viair 450 compressors, 4 switches, gauges, Half inch lines and the BIG RED valves. The car raised up in under one second. It was as fast as Hydraulics. Although the valves had a little trouble lifting the front end. I was going to switch valves or switch to air cylinders up front before I sold it.
Air cylinders are more efficient because they require less volumetric pressure to inflate. This is due to the metal walls having less expansion and smaller diameter. HOWEVER, the cylinders are a stiffer ride. I'm not sure why I'm rambling on like this. I guess because I did so much damn research on them. It's sad that I'm still paying off the loan for the setup and I don't even have it anymore.

] [QUOTE=eklipz] definatly looks like this is going to be a job, but the end result is gunna be the ****! iQUOTE]
Yeah, it was DEFINITELY a big job. I had alot of fun doing it though. I went all out as to build this sweet *** custom rear strut tower brace with a huge bracket attached to it for one of t he tanks. I had a false floor covering the wiring and all my stereo tuff. I also ran neons under the tanks and the compressors. I can't believe I already took it out. I'm a massive tool. I was able to do all the custom work because I have MIG & TIG welders and a plasma cutter. Also have a compressor with every little tool needed. Let me know how it goes.
