For the comment on the MR. Good luck buying one for less than 40k. They list for 36k but only 1000 are being made for the US. The MR is a 6speed, 3-way selectable center diff, more drag efficient, more boost (20.3psi) with bbs forged wheels instead of the enkei, etc...
They shaved about 100lbs off the GSR by switching to an aluminum roof, lighter suspension, and forged wheels. Stock the MR ran a 13.3 at 103, the 05 Sti ran a 13.3 at 100.x.
I am def happy with my 03 Evo. For the difference in cost vs the mr, you could have a sick Evo lol...
I have 2 videos now... SOMEBODY HOST THEM FOR ME!!! I'm feeling good bout the track next week, should be fast...

BTW - The writer/reviewer (one of) from Motor Trend currently owns an 03 EVO, which he bought right after the intitial evo/sti comparison...
He said the new evo is still better, but this time, they bey the STi in every category.
How's this for a mod... On a new evo with 4000 miles on it, they dynotuned the AEM EMS. Stock the Evo made 236whp at 19psi. At a big install fest (about 5-7 evos had the aem ecu installed), the BONE STOCK evo with JUST the AEM EMS made 300.1hp with 298 ft-lbs at the wheels. All this was as stock boost, stock exhaust, stock intake etc. It brought the car to a 12.9 at the track. As you can see, this will be my first mod this spring haha...

The Jap spec GSR is very close to the american evo 8. It has some differences in the differential, but the evo MR will take care of that.
There really isn't a point to the RS Evo, it's pretty much manual everything, without HIDs etc... It only save about 100-150lbs so to lose every nice feature the car has isn't worth it.
As for the Vid lengths... total for all 3 vids is still less than 15mb.
whats the evo mr? are evo gsr's sold in the US?

Nice new ride Joe. So what exactly is the deal with the vic now man? I'm surprised that you're done with her now. The EVO is a sweet choice too seeing that you're more for the performance. There was a yellow one at Import Wars that ran a 12.5 that day we went man. Good stuff.

I knew the guy that used to own that Evo. All he did was throw in a fuel computer, boost controller, exhaust, intake, and put the battery in the trunk. He has Tein SS suspension too. But not too much to get it into the 12s...
