I wanted to get a RSX type S engine !!
hey there, I wanted to upgrade my 97 civic DX hatchback w/ a RSX typs S engine. But I am pretty new in this field so I was going to ask:
What else do I need besides a complete engine ? (a list would be great)
where can I get them ?
how much do I expect to spent on it (labor + parts) ?

Rep Power: 304 Its funny how a D17A2 is about 400 on ebay where k20a, k20a2 are over 5 grand. You ever seen the price for nissan engines there dirt cheap in comparison. Its cheaper to get an rb26dett and its pushing more than 300hp.
These k20a's are too expensive, I wonder how much a crate k20a engine from spoon costs.

Thats because it is a D17, not many people want a D17. Come on do you see people going hey man I am gonna swap in a D17 into my rsx-s so I can loose 80 hp that would be so dope!
