Have you checked out other body shops? Different places will charge different prices. Depending on how good one place does their job, they might charge a little more than others.

If they are paiting front and back bumper with side skirts then 400 dollars is actually pretty fair (depending on thier quality of work). But to answer your question on price for materials, you would be looking around 25 to 35 dollars a qt on the satin silver and about the same on the clear coat. You will also need to buy some reducer (paint thinner basically). You will need 120 grit sandpaper for wet sanding. In all you shouldn't have to pay more that about 250 dollars for the supplies to do it your self.

Guys, that quote is not for labor, its just for paint and clearcoat in cans. It's way too high...Shouldent be more than 250-300 for supplies.

Whoa. $400 total or $400 in supplies + $XXX labor? I got my front lip and side skirts painted for $450, so you're getting a hell of a deal if you're only paying $400 for the entire kit.

Damn...I smell a cheap paint job! My uncle had his Veilside bodykit on his Celica painted for $400 bucks, he took the car to Sac once and back and there were chip marks all over the front bumper. Haha looks funny. He got hella pissed. He took it back and the guy goes, our warranty doesnt cover that because the paint didnt chip by itself. Anyways...he's sueing them along with a few others in town.

On the other hand, some ******* hit my front bumper and I had to replace the whole front and get it painted. The guy had insurance, so I told him I was gonna get it painted at Toyota because my car is basically brand new. The front cost me $250 and the paint job was $700. as you can see it shines and I kinda slip on that RS lip as a bonus for myself. Oh yeah...why Toyota? Because they're Du Pont certified and their paintjobs are lifetime warranty! woot woot!
