And for those of you that think i'm hating on HONDA...please reread my post. I'm hating on those that hate on the SRT4. I respect any Honda that deserves it, whether it be a really nice fast car, or stock car owner that knows their **** and can appreciate performance.(unlike some people in here) Afterall, SpdRcrChk is my g/f and she owned a Honda. She just needed a little guidance.

Oh, and yes, an RSX-S was one of her options but if you think about it, boosting it will cause big problems with the factory for the warranty. I'd rather have a pretty much built motor from factory.

Rep Power: 328 It's got a supercharged swap in it, built to drag race. He raced it about 10 times before his accident on the bike. It's not your everyday swap, the motor didn't come from a honda. It's a domestic motor. And it's not FWD either. The engine bay is needless to say, full, to accomodate the domestic motor that was dropped in it (small block chevy). I bought it from them to resale. They just wanted to get rid of it, I have a guy coming to look at it tomorrow.
I also have a friend in Cali that's got a Datsun 510 that'd eat it's *** too. Course that's his job, he builds them. We rode in it. A guy that went with us, which is a car collector(mainly exotics) says it's the fastest car he's ever been in (he has 9 ferarri's and a fully race prepped Viper). Keep in mind this guy dropped a SR20 turboed motor in it, which is what he does day in and day out for his job.

Rep Power: 328 Yeah, I found a 72' 510 close to me I want to get for a daily driver so I can park the Civic and prep it for full show. The guy wants a little too much for it though. He's asking $4300 for it. I'm gonna offer him something for it, and hope he takes it. It's in great condition, he's also lowered it and did some engine work on it(after replacing the motor) (all professional, which he has documents for). It's really nice, but I don't want to spend that much on that car. I may buy it for $4300, just depends on how much I like it the next time I go look at it. I really love the 510 though. It's bad ****. I've only found 2 that are relatively close and for sale. As for selling the CRX, I didn't buy it to race or keep. I do enough stupid stuff as is, I don't want to do more to chance death or serious injury. I've driven it once. Gas is a bitch to put in it, I have to put 104 in it (there's only one place here that even sales it, and they only have it cause they have a dirt track race team). Markup on that stuff is outrageous. Needless to say, I'm gonna sale it to someone that can get some use out of it.

Hey popcorn playa good luck on your ventures, it really sounds like you're a smart guy and do have a genuine knowledge and thirst for power.
As for the rest of you guys, I've said it time and again. Everyone has their opinions, and I can't help but respect them cuz in the end, I DID own a 7thgen. I'm proud of how far I got with it, but to be quite frank, dumping a k20 or k24 in there would proved to have been such a mission and so costly, that I"m better off buyin' a car that will be under warranty for the next 70k miles (or 7 years) and my mods will be....under warranty as well. There's no doubt in my mind that Honda builds quality cars. But what I think you are all neglecting to acknowledge is that Dodge is no longer "just dodge". It's partners with Mercedes and in case you hadn't noticed, the quality of their cars has improved quite a bit (otherwise why would they even offer such a generous warranty?). The dodge magnum was even originally going to be a Mercedes Labeled car, but they handed it over to Dodge. No one can really tell what's going to happen with these cars until we are already there, so your speculations are pretty much unfounded considering the circumstances. I will always haev a love for 7thgens....i mean after all...i DID keep mine. It's gonna be a pimp *** SRT4 parts hauler.

so I don't know how fast they are and everyone with an SRT4 over here never mods them. I'm waiting to get my *** somewhat handed to me one day lol.

Rep Power: 373 uhh ok my gf's cousin has a 04 and its slow as ****, plus its a dodge... i owned a 01 neon and it sucked plus i almost got killed inside it due to a car accident. lets just say if you get hit your gonna get really bad hurt or killed... and as far as the ep3 mods... it will be more reliable plus more power... i am not sayin i dont appreciate the neons attempt at power but come on it wont last like a honda would.

I dunno where you get your information from...but how the HELL is an ep3 gonna make more power? There's no replacement for displacement, mod for mod / dollar for dollar...an srt4 will always make more power.
And of course your neon sucked. It wasn't an srt4. Regular neons come with a 2.0 liter motor. Not a 2.4 and there are countless other things that differ, but I'm not about to look into my service manual to convince anyone. You come back here when you're ready to run and we'll see whats up.
