I am reading of too many SRT-4's breaking in the Detroit area. Seems the trans can not hold up well (typical Dodge) to much drag racing. And I will bet that you miss the Honda build quality to the cheesy build quality of the Dodge's interior but congrats on the new purchae.
Good choice IMO....I didn't like the SRT until I took one on a test drive that already had the mopar stage 2 upgrade and mopar BOV...It was sweet!!! I might be joining the SRT club if I don't end up getting a Scion Tc...Congrats

I dunno bout those tranny problems....maybe those people can't drive? I know of a couple people here makin 400+WHP w/out any tranny problems yet. There's even word of 500WHP (on stock internals). But I guess we will see. I suppose that 7 year 70k powertrain warranty is good for somethin.
I guess it's still a matter of opinion. I like the interior of my srt. I can see my gauges perfectly, i can see my bost gauge just fine. I can monitor whatever it is that i need to monitor. I mean keep in mind people...it's a 20k car. And it's competing with the likes of 30k+ cars!! What more do u want for the $$.
Sure pinoi...i'll trade you.
JK!
and thanks for the COGNRATS those of you that aren't drinkin' the

Hyab00sta: Thanks dude.
Like i said before, imma be livin my track times vicariously through you so you better do well damnit. LoL
jwcardy: Good point. I think their new 7yr70k warranty says alot about them as well. I will def. keep u guys updated once i get to moddin'
04|5spdCivic: haha thanks, that's really cool of you to say. So far....i'm lookin into some suspension/camber kits first. Wheels...not sure yet i gotta look around. But for the meantime the stockies aren't too bad. I might just powder coat them we'll see. And as for the turbocharger, u read my mind. I've got one waiting, but i need funds for a manifold and piping.
XxJDMCivicxX: Thanks alot!! Actually black was my other choice. But there's somethin about blue I just can't stay away from? LoL All the cars I've owned have been blue. Go figure!! I'll PM u in a few bout the wheels.
trance4mer: Thanks...
I loved the civic too. And it seems more of them are sprouting up round these parts. It was fun while it lasted and I"m happy w/what I achieved with it. Glad to see there were people that appreciated it!!
PopcornPlaya: I guess everyone has their reasons for doin what they do. I've seen what k20's can do, and to be quite frank, I probably would have spent more mone on it in the long run, and would have still been longing for that yummy torque. Honda has a weight advantage yes....but the potential of the SRT4 (power-wise) just surpasses what i've seen on k20's thus far. STOCK internals are yielding 500+ Horsepower. If I spend the same amount of money on my srt4 motor than you do on a k20, the srt is just gonna yield more power. The key?? Even with a low 8:1 compression the srt is still torquey. HP sells cars....torque wins races (carol shelby).
Xtreme2k2civic: Well...i guess I'll leave it up to you and hyab00sta to keep it goin for me. Xtreme your car looks really great so keep at it, its really nice to hear you thought of me that way!! Not every day you hear something like that, so I really appreciate it. Long as I'm not forgotten, I'm still happy!!!
And I'll try to keep you guys posted, although i'm not sure how welcome it'll be here on 7thgen. LoL But...I'll do my best...and TRY TRY TRY to keep at it in the same fashion I did w/my 7thgen.

everyone can say its just a neon....but i dont think any of us are in any position to speak. at the end of the day, our 7thgens are still, infact, just civics.

Someone one my street bought a blue SRT-4 not too long ago, I seen it in parked in the driveway. It has the yellow sticker instead of the license plate last week so I knew it was new.

For those of you that are hating on the SRT4...
Who are you guys to talk crap about it? You drive a CIVIC. Please, stand back and take a look that your car is no where near in a higher level than an SRT4. You guys can talk all the crap you want about the quality but i've compared both in person and they are of the same quality. Maybe you guys should go look for yourselves. Would you like to compare engine and tranny? There is nothing to compare. While you guys drive a single cam 1.7L that can barely hold 250whp in stock form, the SRT can make 500whp and run like a champ. I've seen several 400+whp on the streets here in Miami and some are my friends. What would you like?...T4 turbo upgrade pushing over 20psi or 100+shot of nitrous? The SRT engine and tranny hold it like a champ. Can your D17 do that? Why didn't Honda throw an LSD in your civics? Maybe because they don't make torque. I don't have anyting against your Civics. It's good for what it is, but when you try to put down the SRT and make it seem like it's an inferior car, then you are just sadly mistaken. Anyways, goodluck trying to mod your Civic to keep up with the SRT's. Whenever you guys like, drive down here and i'll make sure that Yvette's car is ready to run you. Happy modding.
