Painting mirrors...

i have a 01 lx , and the black mirrors look shitty. i was thinking about sanding them down and painting them myself. if this a good idea. i wanna repaint them a shiny black.

take em off before painting ... trust me on this one.. and get good paint... btw u need a presure reg for the paint gun... and its less expensive to get it done hehe

take the mirrors off (takes 5 mins), take them to a cheap paint shop (maaco) and let them do it for like 20-30 bucks. the paint will match and look 10X better after a cheap paint shop than after a DIY....

i don't think gloss black would look good on silver... your better off getting them color matched... jus my opinion

yup color matched. whats the point of painting them black? you might as well spray clear coat over it then. i would take it to maaco

i got a 04 vp, and i got my mirrors, door handles, and back panel painted SSM to match my paint, and thats the best thing i done so far, i will post pics later in a new thread tomorrow night or so. trust me same color as the car looks sooooo good

when ever I hit poles, or rub agains the center thingy at the apartment I am glad I have no paint on my mirrors. I simply wax and they are as good as new!
