Paints messed up.
Ok I've got a problem with my paint on my 04 RSX Type S. Heres the deal. 2 days after I got the car, I called the dealer and asked my sales person if the paint had a sealer on it. Cause if not I was going to put a sealer in it. Well he informed me that it did. So I have washed the car twice a week almost. Alone with one waxing. When I washed the car yesterday I noticed I have dirt grinded into the paint in the hood and front bumper. Along with 3 paint chips on the hood. And guess what? One of the paint chips is rusted. My cars a 04. I've had it for 2 months starting today. I drove the car back and forth to work, and to hang out with friends and one of a 2 hour trip. I have not driven it anywhere with debree from the road to mess anything up. I'm getting ready to call my dealership and have a nice talk with them too see what they are going to do to fix the problem since I was lied to about the paint having a sealer on it. What else should i do? The car is goingto need to new paint job to fix the problem. And I am not goingto pay for it. I'm just so pissed off i dont' even want to deal with it. I ever had any problems with the other Hondas I've owned. Also, the RSX Type S was made in Japan, you think that it might be crappy paint they uses over there? Thanks. I'm looking for some imput before I start calling people and yelling.

Be sure to let the dealer know who his daddy is or he will give you the run around. i was at the honda dealer for an hour last friday just tryin to order a 14mm lock bolt........they had to get a diagram and i had to point to it. they didnt know what i was talking about

Those chips on your hood most likely came from pebbles or rocks while you were driving (2 months is a long time). Can't do anything about them. The dealer probably won't do anything for you, but recomend you get touch up paint to fix the chips.
It's like getting a cracked windshield, the dealer won't replace it for free even though the car is even one day old.

You should have inspected the car before you left, to be honest.
It may have been the dealer's fault, it may have been your fault. It's your word against there's and it all depends on how cool the dealer will be about everything.
I say take it to the dealer, and have your argument ready.

Their service looked at it and said that they want their rep for Acura to check it out. I'm taking the car out today for the rep to look at it.
I understand that I can get rock chips. Thats understand able. What I'm fighting for is that I was TOLD the car had a paint sealer on it. It did not have a paint sealer on it. I have two paint chips that are rusted. If the car had a paint sealer on it, those paint chips would have not rusted. I have dirt in the paint. If the car had a paint sealer on it, that would not have happened. If I was told the truth that the car did not have a paint sealer on it, I would have done that the day I picked it up. I'm arguing the fact that I was lied too. So I'll find out today what the deal is. I'm not demanding the car to be repainted. I'm wanted the car to have a clay bar taken over it, washed, the paint chips touched up, a paint sealer put on it, waxed, and buffed. I can do all this myself, but why should I pay for it when I was lied to in the first place.
As for the car, I love it. I'm more than happy with it.

I don't know what I'm going to buy next.

Tell them that they shouldnt be telling people information that they arnt sure about because it can lead to a situation that you are in right now.
I'm sure the person who told you that it had a paint sealer had no idea wtf he was talking about but he told you anyways.... that should be your arguement if its not already/
