yo what up my fellow 7th gen people..tom (friday) im getting tints with lifetime warranty at a place called rpm for 180...i live in ny so the legal % is 35..thats a waste of money cuz its see-through..so im thinking about getting 20-25%...if neone has tints at this % can u please post them so i can see what they look like..thanx...o0 yea will 20-25 be safe? like do u thinks cops will notice a big big change?

I got pulled over for having 20% thats in PA tho, they suck i think the legal tint allowed is like 70% real stupid!! But i got pulled over bout month after got mine, the cop pulled out his tint meter thing, it was beat! But i think 20% around there is real nice looking, id go for it

35% front/6% rear
paid $150 with lifetime warranty
i live in california, tint law is any percent on back windows, drivers windows 30% limit. nothing reflective (mirror tint/silver tint/blue tint/etc)
cops dont hassle me but i still drive around with my windows down.

btw thats a camera flash, not a porch light

y.0. - you asked this already. if you get 20%, watch your ***. in ny there really isn't a legal tint limit - what you get the car with - clear or 70 whatever % is the legal limit. i have 35% (look at my profile for pic) and you can see right through. i'm getting 15% as soon as i get $150...

there's a place on post ave. in westbury that will do your tints, whatever %, for $160. it might be cheaper b/c you have a coupe but that's a good price. the place is called auto day spa - give them a try

heres my civic. 6% rear and 13% front. too light in the front i think. i got pulled over cuz i had my windows up and the cop was a ****. oh well, just roll them down when ur driving or see a cop. im in pa where there is no limit on the rear and like you "have to be able to see inside" in the front.

like everyone else, i would say 20 all around, im in philly had no problems for almost a year now... knock on wood. check out my ride if you want, i got 20 all around, i would like to go darker though.

It looks darker then they really are in this pic. thats because your looking down on it and the interior is black, so your seeing the black interior behind the tinit. 20 is hot though, get it

My girlfriend has 20 on the rear window and 35 on all the others and a 20 front strip. Its realativly dark but you can see throught it. As for going darker i have 15 all around and a 15 windshield strip on my regal gs. If you dont do anything stupid leave your sunroof where its just the glass it wont seem so dark. If ya dont have a sunroof then i wouldnt suggest getting really dark, always drive with your windows down.

Don't do it, stick with legal. I had 5% all the way around except for the windshield and I got away with it for almost 2 years. Then I got 2 tickets w/in 4 months. The last ticket was dropped b/c I took the tint off before the court date. I was rolling my windows down everytime I saw a cop and it was getting really old on cold days or in the rain. The first one got me b/c I didn't have time to roll the windows down, and the second cop was sitting on the interstate and I didn't think he would go to the troube of getting on and pulling me over just for the tint. I was wrong. They'll catch you eventually and then be looking for you the next time

I got 35% on the fronts, and 20% in the back, with the rear windshield 5% to keep the inside dark as anything.

i was gonna get 20 all around and 5 on the rear windshield but got worried when i handed my keys over cuz i DO have a civic, and cops already have reason to pull me just cuz of that, not to mention my exhaust.

i didnt wanna give them more reasons to pull me so stayed legal. 35 aint too light and at night, it looks almost the same as 20%. if your car has some mods, stay legal, cuz once the cop starts writing tickets, they wont stop writing for a while!

Very true!!! Dam, when the guy pulled me over i knew for sure it was a fix it ticket but dunno if its exhaust,headlights or tinted windows. I was just cruising. If he had given me an exhaust ir headlight ticket i wouldve been pissed!!!

edit: In south florida tint jobs are really cheap cost because they are so many. At the swapshop you can get a full tint w/ 5 yr warranty for about 55$ - 75$ depending how well you haggle.

If you're gonna go illegal go all out because either way if the cops see an import with dark windows you are probably gonna get pulled over if its 20% or two coats of 5%. Best to just stay legal though. Oh yeah and it really SUCKED trying to get all the tint and the glue it left behind off. Won't be fun if you have to strip it
