I am wanting to mount my amp in my floor of my trunk and I am wanting to keep my spare tire and jack. So I came up with the idea to of course cut out a new floor out of mdf and then block it up with 2x4s layed edge way so i could have room to sink an amp. do you think this would work or would it look to weird?

so your saying lay a new floor board of MDF? then put 2x4's on that floor board? and make some sort of amp rack/mount?

oh okay and where is the amp gonna go ....in the middle? or on the side?

i would block it on the side and the sink it in the middle. this way the blocks give me room over the spare. my only concern is that when it is blocked i might look weird on the side be the edge of the trunk because it will kind of drop off. i may need to but a bigger floor.

sorry man im tired. I got up at 6 this morn.

Im not really specificing. I mean i will "sink" the amp in the middle. the blocks on the side will give me enough room to do this while keepin the spare.

That sounds like a good idea. Just make sure everything will clear. Didn't you fiberglass a sub enclosure?
