Installed Defi-Link and Display, Pics inside
I'm moving up to green OLED screen....

It monitors and RECORDS:
Speed
Water Temp
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
EGT
Boost
Has programmable warning levels and alerts for all sensors hooked up to it, and has a tachometer warning (aka shift light).
Not to mention it just scrolls through everything automatically and takes up an area about 4x3" on the dash.

Yeah, all the stock stuff still works. While it'll do just about everything the stock gauges will do (it doesn't have a gas gauge and it won't display RPMs, just the redline, I still need it. Its more to keep an eye on and play back all the peripheral numbers (temps and pressures) that stock won't give me. It'll record 3:40 of data, which is just about a full autocross day. So I should have a pretty good idea of what goes on when I'm out there, since there's no time to look. I'm just curious to find out if I lose oil pressure when turning one way or the other, if the temps really climb a lot, etc.....
Its somewhat for fun, but I guess I could just drive off the screen if I wanted.

Ok, I got it in. It actually took longer to cut the old Autometers out of the wiring then it did to put the new stuff in. 4 wires to the computer, 1 harness to the display, and one into the VSS wire in the ECU. In case anyone ever finds out the hard way like me, the ECU is upside down. Connector A is on the bottom, E is on the top.
It started raining or I'd have water temp and warm-up mode active, but I'll do it tomorrow. Oil Temp gauge came off back order, its on the way for next week, then hopefully oil pressure will follow it soon.

Oh, yeah, thats masking tape holding it on. I wanted to see if it worked there before I stuck it on permanently.

I ended up mounting it in the cluster bezel. I chickened out of screwing it into the dash pad, and it seemed pretty obvious there to people with bad intensions. At least in the bezel, you gotta look in there to see it. It works well, I got the sensor for the Water temp in, warmup mode now works (it monitors the temp and tells you when you hit a pre-set level). Now I'm just waiting for the rest of the sensors to come. Defi wiring is so much easier than autometer's... its all harnesses, not DIY wiring.
Pics are blurry... hard to drive and shoot.

Since I'm too cheap to pay someone for sensor fittings, especially with a machine shop at my disposal... I made my own. Oil pressure on the left, water temp on the right.
