hey i just got home late last night from work and you'll never believe what i found in the inbox of my yahoo mail.... a sponsorship for $12,000 from sport compact pro.. i call to talk to the guy running the department and he said sure enough i was it.. they are gonna send me a contract in about a week.. i need to have alawyer look at the fine print but then its on the the goodies... i am soooo pumped.... i'll keep everyone posted on the news..

This one guy got sponsored by the same people.. I met him at rockville pike the other night. He too had a $12k contract going to him.... that he had to sign in the next upcoming days.

Rep Power: 0 The thing with a sponsorship is that they will be like "Yeah will give you $12,000 for your car. But we OWN YOU AND YOUR CAR BIOCH!" They will have it to where you have to enter your car into every car show that they want and all sorts of stuff like that.

Rep Power: 314 yeah my car doesnt look like that if i have time i will upload pics tonight. as for the sponsorship i have to go to at least 4 shows and promote for them. other than that i dont know all the details.. stilll waiting on the contract.. i will keep everyone updated.. as far as how i got it.. i when here and signed up... www.needsponsors.com

Rep Power: 0 what is all included in the $12k contract? Do they send you 12 g's and say, hook your car up, and put our stickers on it? Or do they send you a catalog and say, you got 12 g's of credit, pick out what you want from our catalog?

Rep Power: 0 yea if its the same as racer-x its nothing special well i guess but i got a 12k sponsorship on a 01 lx auto lowered/i/e/grille but i got rid of my car but still they must not be looking for much

Rep Power: 314 just talked to their sales guy.. i was told they bought out racer x. i walso learned that yeah i dont get 12G's but they pay for 55-60% of the parts/labor i order through them and then after i have proven to them i'm worth the effort (my words not theirs.) they will give me a full sponsorship. all the info for their company and who they deal with (i was told that are involved with 6 major companys) and the shops that i can get discounts on.. so when i see i will let you all know.... hope it all works out. i was also told that if after i read the contract and i still didnt want to do it (get sponsorship) that they would refund me the fee.... so, i guess i will just have to see...

There are people (under the "guise" of companies) that'll take your money and use it to fund their business, their show fees, their paychecks -> by your "fee" along w/ all the other unsuspecting folks who sign up for these offers & they will BS you and string-you-along for as long as they can.
I'm not saying this is the case here (I don't know these people or you), but after reading your post, I thought you should know this.

Rep Power: 314 hey i told you guys i would keep everyone updated with my sponsorship with Sport Compact Pro. well, the contract finally got here.. its 3 pages long but the skinny is i have to go to at least 4 events and openly promote their company. i can start ordering parts as soon as i sign the contract and send it back to them.. they sent a list of manufacturers they get parts from and WOW its long.. i am gonna scan everthing and post it here so you guys can.. gonna see a lawyer tomorrow about legality of the contract. i am excited though.. i'll post pics tonight if i have time..
