RIP OFF
There is only one real sponsorship and that is when you get stuff for free.. there are very few of us that get that and thank goodness i am one of them.

sounds like thier way of buying things for wholesale, and selling them to unsuspecting people for slightly above wholesale...
Not an entirely bad deal for either party...
But in no way a "sponsor"

well he said he got a sponsor with sport compact pro. thats a little bit different than racer-x. i work with a friend who has a dealer license with scp. i've even got there big *** catalog to, its got pretty much everything from a-z in it. so congrats on the sponsor.
the guy from racerX lives in my development... no one respectable in the import scene around here likes that guy.. LIke people who own other shops and mechanics.. you have to PAY to get sponsored.. He always drives around in his WIFES evolution with racerX stickers all over his car. I think he used to own a shop or something and it went out of business, that guy is wack. I think u pay him like 70 bux to "maybe" get sponsored. Then if you DO get sponsored, he gets you stuff at the same prices as if u looked throughly on the internet. It's really stupid. Sponsorships are stupid, unless u get free stuff or at cost (manufacters price).

OK OK OK OK.....
heres an update... YES it did cost me $79 for the contract fees and yeah sponsorships should be free but the money for the contract fee is tax deductable AND goes to a charity.. as for the whole sponsorship deal.. i get wholesale parts from a TON of companys that have stuff for my civic.. also i get deals on labor for installs (which i wont use since i do it all myself), anyway.. i get $12,000 to use for parts.. i buy the item at wholesale price and SCP (sport compact pro) pays the difference... you guys know of the vis trunk for the 4dr right.. yeah i get it for the same price as dealers do AND i get it shipped to my door AND i can wait and save up enough money to get it whenever i want, that means i dont have to fight to get in on the groupbuy or fight to get the last one that a dealer has forsale.. also all i have to do is go to 4 (yeah only four) car shows with my car entered in 'em.. i put there sticker on my car.. (only for the show if i want..) just have to make it easy to see.. THEN ITS GAME ON FOR PARTS... seeing as how i have only been in the USA for 3 months.. (i'm an in the miltary so i have been in korea for a year..) and i have been to 3 shows i dont see a problem with making in a year with my car entered in it... SO WHAT DO YOU THINK....................... yeah for me or what??????????/

Hey, paying $79 for a wholesale opportunity is pretty good in my opinion. If you were going to car shows anyway, what's the big deal sporting their sticker. I paid $45 for my Costco Membership and no one is saying that is a rip off. Best of luck to you and I hope you get the "full sponsership". (wow did that sound like an MLM pyramid just there....hmmmm)

yeah i just got off the phone w/ them...i apparently sent in an application back in april(i dont even remember doing that)...and im debating whether or not i should give them my account info. do you actually hafta enter in the show or can you just be there. can it be like one of these "auto zone shows" or something like that? he was makin' sound like there arent that many positions open for it cuz he needed me to call him by 7 2nite. hit me up ExzAcC. we also need to see those scans of the contract, item list, and anything else please.
i just entered a show and sent pictures to them, and yea ur car have to be in the show and take pictures for proof that ur car is entered, thats about it oh yea i'm sponsored by SCP too and i got 3 more shows to enter
I'm sponsored by them too. I was talking to a guy that was also sponsored by them and he told me that he got a turbo that was around $2900 and he paid somthing around $1400 with the 55% off. 4 a deal like that I think I may half to go turbo.

I know a lot of people who got their srt-4's sponsored but that is a very very popular car right now that draws a lot of attention...but the way they get it done is when they have a SHITLOAD of mods, running minimum 11's...then the sponsors agree to trade a small decal for a specific part (or part value) and they get multiple sponsors for one or two parts each...they get a 50% discount or whatever...
I got my contract in the mail, and I'd like to see a parts list before I send this back in. I'd be all about the up to 55% off on parts deal, but I wanna be sure I can make my car show worthy. I wouldn't want to be "one of those guys" that enters their car in a show with like, a few rinky dink mods. The shows here in Pittsburgh generally have like 40 cars or so in them. If I was one of those 40, I would want to represent.
