buying the leather is pretty cheap. i bought my sedan kit, 2 front and rear, and front side panel from katzkins for a decent price. the installation is a biatch. i would love to do it my own but i hate it to look shitty so i was thinking about investing on a professional installation. i asked around it will cost me at least 900- 1g. i probably gonna get it sometime cuz i want to have leather on my car.
thing is there's a lot of stuff you can get for your car done for 1g like: OEM lip kit installed and painted, or new wheels. so its basically seeing what i like to get done first.

after having mine for a little while it looks like it was professionally installed cause its nice and tight now that its worn in, so i would say do it yourself and spend the extra money on other stuff for your car.
you will love the seats 100x more if you do it yourself
