Where is a good place to mount radar detector?
where is a good place to mount a radar detector
for the best optimum performance
i know the common place to mount is in the center
top of the dash board but that's where i have my
state inspection decal and tax decal
would a good place be on the driver side
where the A pillar is ? or would the pillar block
the reception?

You don't have to plug it into the cig lighter. It's the difference between installing a light fixture and plugging in a lamp. Does that make sense? As far as the benefits, you just have it out of your way. It won't block any of your view up there.

If you really want to hardwire the rader to your lights dreamybabie, you can snake the wires in the headliner (I think it's called) to the dome light. Otherwise you can just snake with wires down the A pillar like I did.
