Painted my headlights! 56K take a nap! **Updated with day time pics on 3rd page**
Well Chris and I decided to Paint my headlights yesterday. They turned out great. I've only got some night pics of them, but I'll try to get some good pics during the day. Enjoy!!!
Everything turned out great, except that I didn't get the headlights sealed all the way. They ended up fogging on me this morning. I'm going to reseal them today.

I used regular flat black too. Is there any risk of the paint melting when the lights are on? Cause that would suck....big time.....

Mine are a gloss, sparkle black. They actually have little sparkles in them. It looks tight IMO. No problems yet with melting or anything.
yeah, they make high temp glossy black spray paint. i have a can that says it can handle (i think) 1000 degrees F. it says it's made for engines, pipes, etc, so i guess it can handle the heat from the headlights. i'll be doing this some time in the future with glossy paint, so i'll be sure to take pictures

It was in there for about 5 minutes, at the most....I just don't understand how it cooked through the bottom of my headlight.............

and it's my birthday too...way to ruin your own birthday, eh? lol
"What temp did u have it at? I had mine in at 250 Degrees for 7-8 mins and it came apart fairly easy."
I had it set to 300 degrees and had it in for about 5 minutes. I guess the headlights didn't like being in there for that long...also, taking apart and putting back together these headlight housings are totally different between coupes and sedans.

I didn't put my in the oven at all. I need to take a hair dryer to it to help it seal good. Cause my headlights are fogging up. I don't have any day time pick yet, but I'll get them really soon.

pooh on your civic...
