after being in touch with Jesse James wheels, and trying to get information on the wheels i have selected, and trrying to find out about possible getting them in anodized black, i recieved an answer today: basically they offered to partially sponsor my car, giving me the wheels at a 60% discount, and he wants to do them in black anodized centers. he said i'd have to keep the wheels on for a minimum of 1 year, and have a JJ wheels vinyl decal on the car for the same period, and that i had to show at nopi. so now im trying to decide what to do. these are the wheels i am wanting, and will get. problem is do i want to accept the sponsorship to get the only set of black JJ wheels made? and be obligated to them for a year. i only have one manditory show (NOPI) from them, and am wondering if my car will be up to my standards by then. there's still a lot of body work to do, and i will be painting the whole car. this is gonna be a serious sacrifice i think, in terms of saving money to have the work done. im using my income taxes to get the body work completed. and i was gonna do a custom paint job, and hopefully have it done for nopi. now, if i accept this, i have to have it done, no bones about it. ho hum, what in the hell to do?

Impulse is right........but ur offer is soooooo tempting, especially for how expensive his wheels cost. And to have one of a kind Jesse James wheel is amazing.

no ****, i mean my main problem is, i have done absoloutly nothing to the engine, cause i am wanting to eventually do the k20 swap, so i havent spent one red cent in the bay. other than painting the plug wire cover, and fuse cover. so thats a big thing to concern myself about. also, i am gona redo my entire system in all JL, which i havent began buying all of the stuff yet. The body work ahs to be done. the interior has to be redone. (laether has some tears in in from break in) want to change steering wheel, and shift **** to fit scheme. body work still needs completion (some parts havent arrived yet). im budgeting my expenses to compensate for this, but with the deadline i now would have, its gonna put me in a big hard place. and like you said, this is an extroidinary deal i have. one of a kind JJ wheels. yet im not sure i can finish the car. plus its a daily driver. if an accident occurs or something, there's just no way i'd get it done in time. damned, maybe i should ask them a lot of my questions.

i'm sponsored by the same company that makes jesse james wheels (Dm tech america). i can get the same deal on all wheels made by dm tech america (qt alloys, alba, emo, jesse james, modern image, etc). as for your sponsorship, you don't really have to worry about the show. just go to the show and hand out flyers, thats all you have to do. the show is actually a formality. the company still makes a profit off the 40% you are paying for the wheels. do you know the name of the person that offered you the sponsorship?

yes, jeff. do i actually have to show my car? or do i show up and hand out flyers only as you said? also, if i do show it, do they provide a sponsor booth, or am i required to obtain a spot? i've been to NOPI with friends that are showing, and usually if you aren't therre by 5AM the day before, then you more than likely dont get in.
