There arent any aftermarket indiglo gauge out for 03+ civics.
Just keep them, Looks 1000x better than 01-02 gauge clusters.

They havet made any for the 03+ civics. I like the new gauge look in the 03+ civics. Why do you want to change them?

on a similar note...i just got a 04 and I have 2 larger gauges in the middle and then 2 smaller ones on each side. middle left is the temp and fuel gauge and middle right is the speedometer. the 2 are cut out for gauges but do not have any there. basicall it's like this

_o______O________O_____o
blank temp/fuel speed blank

...hope that made sense....

anyways what i would like to do is put an RPM gauge where the temp/fuel gauge is and put the temp and fuel gauges on the side blank spaces. understand? so it would look like this...

_o_____O____O_____o
temp RPM speed fuel

so....basically i want to leave the stock gauges in there but add a stock RPM and get 2 small stock fuel and temp gauges. anyone know if this is possible. like i said hope i'm not being too confusing here, if so...where can i get these? don't be too harsh my first civic, and i don't know much about all this. thanks

What???? On an 04?? That sounds like the 01/02 DX cluster. If it is, you can just drop in an 01/02 LX/EX cluster. Odd....... I'll have to sneak by a dealer and look at that.

Bro, IMO...the stock gauges on the 04's are pimp. I'd say leave it!

I think the 04 VP/DX does use a cluster that looks like the 01-02 DX. But since the harnesses that plug into the 03-04 clusters are different, you'd probably still have to use a LX/EX cluster from the 03-04 for the wiring to work properly.

It's hard to say without seeing the wiring harnesses going into Fade's cluster, but that's what I would guess.

Well you're in luck, because you can make your own custom indiglo gauges!

First you need to go here and buy some EL indiglo sheets (they have alot of colors to choose from). It's at the bottom of the page.

http://www.beingseen.com/

Then you follow this DIY someone posted. It's for a different car, but same idea.

http://russ.angrypacket.com/howto/ca...uges/index.php

I think they would really come out nice. Just a bit time-consuming. If you do it, maybe take pics and stuff of yours and post another DIY here on this site.

my car is an 04, bought it a week ago today...i will say it doens't look like some of the other 04 clusters on here. When i bought my car it was called a VP for value package, basically it's like the LX w/o power windows or doors, but unlike the DX it has the CD player and Air from the factory, not from the dealer. I think Bellz has the right idea maybe. I do want it to look like stock b/c i kinda like them, just wanted to add a couple gauges where there are blank spots.

this is what mine looks like (this isn't mine it's KnocturnalTKR 's i just found his ride) but mine only has the 2 big gauges and then 2 cut out on the sides, i want it kinda like he has it here with the speedometer and rpm in the middle then the fuel and temp on the sides

his is an 02 EX, so guess ur right Bellz & Tinman

so any ideas...where can i get the factory RPM, and then 2 small temp and fuel gauges?

After looking at the honda site, the VP coupe, and dx/vp sedan don't have tachometers. They discontinued the dx in the coupe, so the vp kinda took it's place. You probably also have the console w/o a cup holder cover like the 01's have.

Your best bet is to see if the wiring matches the 03-04 clusters in the lx/ex and that'll tell you if you can swap with them. I'm 99% sure that's the case. You could always just add a tachometer and mount it somewhere. It's not very difficult.

You could try to put aftermarket gauges in there, but you've only got about an inch of clearance between the black board and the circuitboard.

The easiest thing to do is swap clusters, if you can find one.

Or you could do this:

actually, if you turn the **** up prior to turning them on, then when they dim (after putting headlamps on) you'll have full brightness.

ok new update on gauges...went to the honda dealership and talked to the parts guy. He said that the my dx or Vp or whatever they call it now, doesn't have the wiring for a tachometer. Is this true? mine is a 04 by the way. but he said that the 02 cluster although it looks like mine won't fit and that IF the wiring was there i'd have to get a 04 Ex cluster which will run somewhere in the $300 to $400 range. Can anyone shed some light? I want a tachometer!!

In the pic that I've attached below, you can see that I've marked the wire that serves as the tach lead for the 01-02 (blue wire with the silver splotches). Since the harness changed with the new cluster in 03, you'll have to determine which wire it is now. Either by color or better yet by a pinout diagram in a honda manual. The parts dept might help you with this.

Your parts guy is probably half right. The 01-02 clusters won't fit because the wiring is different, but an LX or EX cluster from 03-04 should plug right up and work. Unfortunately, they're harder to find and expensive.

If you want to add an aftermarket tach, choose the one you like and wire it up or have it installed. Once you determine the tach lead, the rest is as easy as hooking up a stereo (power, illumination and ground). I used a small Sunpro 2-5/8" Tachometer Model#CP7906 that cost $29.99 at Pep Boys and velcro'd it to the inside of the cluster area. I've had no problems with it.

Click here to see a pic of my installed tach.

well it's nice to know that it can be done, no thanks to the parts guy...i'm glad it's at least it's wired for one. i see the pic of your tach. is it possible to put it in the cluster somehow instead of outside? guess i'd have to rig it up maybe. at least know i know if i do spring for the 04 ex cluster the wires will be there. thanks for your help on this...gave me answers everytime...oh and i like your website.

I didn't take mine apart to see how deep it is, so I can't say if what will fit. You don't have much room back there, but at least you know that digital gauges will fit, so maybe some of the analog fit too.
