Every time I see her dirty from mud and rain, or from snow and sand, I think that exact same thing. I guess that's one of the added benefits to driving an AWD car. If you at least look like you USE it, then it's "cool" to have it dirty. . . like a Jeep or a 4x4 pickup.

does sand really melt the snow or is it just there to provide traction? dont you guys in washington use chains on the tires too sometimes? i remember when i went on vacation there a couple of years ago to go hiking and we saw a couple signs recommending the use of chains on the tires.

Luck has little to do with it. . . . half the reason I bought the car was so I could take it into the mountains for snowboarding and get around town, regardless of weather conditions. . . .
