My gf got hit in her 02 *PICS*
So, the other night at about 430, i get a phone call on my cell phone from Lynndsay, "Ive been in an accident. Im at "X" and "X". Come up here please"
So, not having a car as mine is in storage, I knock on the door of the guy downstairs and explain what happened and ask for a ride.
I didnt fear the worst as Lynndsay would not be calling me and it would be the Police or the hospital, so, i expected a little fender-bender.
I get to the scene and sure enough, i see the fron bumper ripped off at the passenger front and the headlight broken a bit.
"Thats not the worst of it," says Linds, "look at this!" So i go to the back drivers side which is now basically non-existent! The rear quarter is smashed in like one foot, the tail is broken and the bumper is on the ground! Same with on the passenger rear too!
What the ****?
Well, heres what happened:
Lynndsay is comming up through a busy intersection. The stop sign is not for the E-W road shes on, but for the N-S road. As shes going thorugh the intersection, a purple Ranger (apparently feed up with waiting for a chance to turn left) guns it and t-bones the Civic's rear-driver quarter. This causes Linds to spin around 180 degrees which sends her passenger-rear quarter into an oncomming Montana. The impact from the Montana sends Lynndsay around 180 degrees in the other direction casuing her front end to collide with the van. Shaken, she runs to van and makes sure everyone is ok only to find that the old man in the Ranger is slowly creeping away. Filled with adrenaline, she bolts after the trcuk and flaggs him down and manages to stop him and right down the plat number. At this point, she explains that she has his plate and that he better return to the scene. Reluctantl, he does so. A passing motorist who wittnessed the whole thing offers Lynndsay her name and number and the Cops are called. Lynndsay, the woman in the van, and the witness give the details to the police resulting in the Ranger being given a citation for failing to remain at the scene.
At this time, I arrive and after seeing Linds ok, I call our insurance company and decribe what happend, damage done, any injuries and give insurance info from the other drivers.
End damage...
The Montana: had its front-driver wheel pushed in and bent making it undrivable.
The Civic: Smashed passenger quarter pannel/fender and headlight, smashed driverside tail/quarter pannel/fender, front grill, front bumper, and rear bumper.
The Ranger, broken lense on the passenger side front turn signal.
Now, as we all know about the luck that myself and Lynndsay have with accidents (see my accident from the summer), all is not lost. Everything is being replace free of charge as it was the Ranger's fault. In fact, the bumpers are being replaced with the Xennon kit, the headlights with a set of angle-eye projectors, the tails with a set of 04 OEM Honda tails (which, ironnically we;ve been trying to trade our APC altezzas for) and a Kaminari grill. Hurray us!
Oh, and Linds is a little shaken up, but, otherwise, shes fine.

I'm glad no one was hurt (well..I would have been OK with the dude in the ranger getting hurt) At least you'll be able to get some new mods for the car.
On a side note...ever notice it always seems that the person who causes an accident is ok while everyone is is messed up?

^^^^Thanks Joe. I post about the wreck on all these boards and some people say, 'glad shes ok' while others completely miss the point and talk ****.
But again, thanks to everyone for their concern.
And Tojo, if you CAN read, youll notice that the lights are being swapped out for the 04's.

I've almost been hit FIVE separate times from guys in BLUE Ford Rangers. I hate Rangers with a passion.
Sorry about the car. As long as no one was hurt, it can't be too bad.
