Seatbelt beeps - any cure? (...and don't say "wear your seatbelt")

Its not that I don't wear my seatbelt...just not all of the time. One gripe so far on my new 04' EX coupe is the VERY annoying seatbelt beeping if you aren't buckled up. There must be a DIY fix for this. I HATE being told what I should be doing - especially by my own car . Any help?

^^^ that's what happened after a huge *** van hit my car head on. 3 blocks away my girlfrind wasn't wearing her seatbelt. i told her to before we came to the intersection.

you're looking at over 26 stitches and 2 reconstructive surgeries done on my right hand. i have 99 percent of use of my hand though. good enough to flick your dumbass off!

you are a fucking idiot for not wearing one and for making this post.

i am alive and so is my gf (gf for 3 year) thanks to wearing our seatbelts.

if you don't like being told what to do, go to civicspot

And many states are adopting Seatbelt laws and many car companies are saying "fsck" it and making sure that you remember to buckle up.

And becasue of those who dont wear, you're the cause of why insurance premiums go way the fsck up.

AR, take it easy man. My point was not to be against wearing my seatbelt but to have the beeping disabled. I don't need big brother Honda beeping im my ears. I'm sorry about your accident but you shouldn't judge how others act. Unless it directly affects you in some way then it isn't right to pass judgement on my actions. And yes, NJ has a seatbelt law but IMO its just another way to infringe on our personal civil liberties. How is ME wearing a seatbelt going to negatively affect another driver or pedestrian?

I like your pun about big brother Honda, but I still don't acknowledge your viewpoint. Some people have to experience **** in order to learn.

I always wear mine. I wish there was a way to turn off the beeps as well, cause when I'm modding and I need to turn the car on and off, it's always beeping at me. Same thing with that annoying lights on sound.

Trade it to me for my SSM '03.

But, I don't like the seatbelt either.. It wrinkles my shirt.
Well, now that I think of it, I'd rather have a fu˘ked up shirt than a fu˘ked up body.

LOL yeah I like my 01 that it doesn't ding at me when I don't wear it. Around here you really don't need it not enough traffic to even worry about. But if I am on the interstate then yeah I usually always wear it. Yeah they have that ticket or click it sign up here I think its the gayest sign ever, personally I think seatbelts should be personal choice just more money for the state.

You could cut the seat belt and just shove the clip part down into the buckle... haha.... of course then you could never wear your seatbelt. Maybe you could find an extra buckling part someplace.... like a "car graveyard."

I think it's annoying that they put that in the car, even though you should wear your seatbelt anyway.
