I got my car on friday(snowy *** day), my mother suprisesd me and brought it home from the dealer. It's not really what I wanted('94 camry le) but its cool, I'm happy. I still have to wait for my '96 civic which is what I originally wanted so I'm gonna have to save up some money.

But dont you hate it when you graduate hs with a 90+ average and get a scholarship to college and your parents promise to get you any car under 25k, then when you pick a car thats under 10k and they say "we'll talk about it". Then they go behind your back and buy you another car without telling you.

Dont get me wrong because Im really happy, its not a bad car plus it came with a sound system lol I cant wait to drive it, but I guess I was kinda hoping to do something with my the civic... I guess I have to wait again.

Am I wrong... for acting like this?

yea, id be pretty tight that they did something like that behind my back. But then, a car is a car, it gets u from point a to point b. 94 camry isnt even bad. I think it actually looks pretty nice, jus keep it clean. I'd be happy with it. ****, a free car, give me a 85 hoop ride and ill still pump that **** if i got it for free, lol. But ya, i probably would do some b!tchin....

I've never had a car bought for me...so I would be happy with it. But on the flip side...they built up your expectations and then get you something you didn't want....eh, let it go. Go to school, get your degree, get a job and then you can pick out any car you want.

I'd tend to agree with others. It does suck that you didn't get the car you had initially asked for. I'd say work your butt off over the next summer and trade it in. One good thing about toyota's is they hold their value. Next summer you can probably get 3K for it fairly easily. If you save a couple grand, you probably wouldn't need much anything (if any) for a loan.

i was pissed when i had sweet grades in hs, and was all lined up to get a sweet prelude with low mileage....but my parents ducked out on the deal, and ended up gettin me my '01 civic i have now....but now im screwin my parents over by gettin an rsx type s engine.....just as fast as the prelude.....make some money, screw your parents, and buy a nice car. its the only way to be

Thats what happened to me. Although, I was going to buy my car. I was looking into getting a crx, del sol, prelude, or 5th/6th gen hatch. I was driving a loaner '96 blazer, by the way is a POS, and they surprised me in april right before graduation. I got a used 2001 ex coupe 5spd. The only thing they understood what that I wanted a manual. They comtinually backed out after I would find a car, calll the person, get the info., and tell them all they had to do was bus me over there and come see it with me. My dad kept b!tching how he couldnt afford a car right now and told me I would have to buy it. That was 2 years ago.

be happy you got a car for free. My first car had the engine pulled out of it so i had to put it back together and install it all before i could take ownership and start paying for it. IM not upset about it because it got me where i am today but at least you got it for free
