Car accident - I hate icy roads

I had a minor accident yesterday, and I'm a little upset about it. Obciously. My car and some old pickup truck slid into each other on an icy road. Of course, his being an older truck, the most he suffered was a little chipped paint and *maybe* a small dent. I on the other hand have a busted front bumper, destroyed hood, wrecked TYC projector headlight, and worst of all a leaking radiator so I can't even drive my car for fear of it overheating and getting damaged. Needless to say my little plastic 'Hot Wheels' car got owned by the older Ford F250.

I posted a topic in the wanted to buy section of all the parts I need, in case people have some things they're trying to part with.

http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...hreadid=128370

In any case, nobody was really at fault, and no laws were broken, which is kinda good I suppose. But the downside is I have a $1000 deductible, and the money I had been saving up for a new stereo system (since my last one was stolen a couple months ago) must now go towards getting my car fixed. So this really sucks - no merry christmas for me I guess.

Anyways I'm just venting. If anyone's feeling generous, I'll accept donations of store points so maybe I can buy myself a new title for Christmas. That and my car fixed are all I really want. Thanks for listening and I hope everyone's day is going better than mine.

(Note: On the upside I purchased my advanced tickets to Lord of the Rings: Return of the King this morning, so at least I have that going for me! )

Why are You Asking For Money? Dude This is Not a Charity Site or the Star Light Foundation. Dude Go Out and Buy a New Stereo On Credit and Worry About it After Christmas To Pay it off.

Yes, thank you .. I said nothing about wanting money. I am not asking for anything, in fact - the points thing was more a joke.

To recap, I don't want your MONEY, your PITY, or even your POINTS - that was just a joke!! All I'm looking for is people who have parts that they aren't using that I can purchase.

and Hoho - sorry about that greedy bastard man, people can be such jack-asses

He's not asking for money. And why does almost every word in your post have to start with a capital letter?

Thanks guys, yeah .. I got an estimate yesterday afternoon of about $3900 - Apparently I have to have a new bumper, grill, headlight casing, hood, radiator, AC Condensor, and both fenders replaced - plus they have to do a color match on the doors to make it look good or something ...

I don't mean to sound rude, but I'm also a Ford guy- I love old Ford Trucks. I'm really sorry about your ride though. If I had a accident like that I think I'd start to hate the old Fords too, well - maybe not.

Thanks again guys, yeah I have $1000 deductible, and I still pay $160 a month - And that's the cheapest I could find. It sucks *** ...

Anyways the insurance company is sending an adjustor tomorrow hopefully, so as soon as that happens the auto body shop can get started on the repairs. And the nice thing is I'll have a whole new front end, my old one was getting pretty dinged up. Plus I get a new set of Headlights - TYC projectors - which were slightly damaged from before. So that should be pretty cool, my car will look a lot more like new again ...
