Celica cam removal pics........
for anyone who doesnt know, Celica GT-S's have a thing called "lift" well theres a bolt that everyone calls the lift bolt that breaks causing lift to fail or be weak. (the reason alot of gt-s's are slow as a GT)
well I pulled 1 apart on saturday to fix it. Here's the pics!

yeah it wasnt that hard. takes about 4hrs to do.
"lift" is what makes the GT-S different from the GT. Its kinda like Ivtec in a way. lol

oil cap
VVTLI control valve (sends oil through to engage lift)

This is a close up of the piece that stays up causing "lift"

the broken piece we did all of this to remove. (the reason 80% of GT-S's are slow, it causes them to lose lift)

the shaft oil goes in to push the shim that pops up the rod causing "lift"

It's NOT my car. lol it's another GT-S I pulled apart on saturday.he couldnt go to the dealer cause hes outa warranty. I posted it cause some nameless members were trying to flame me for not knowing about celicas. lol What they didnt know is I pull them apart all the time. lol so I posted these pics for them!
And it shouldnt look bronze like that. He was using some funky oil. lol
