drop..

I was sitting in my friends civic.. it was droped about 2 inches.. THE RIDE SuCKED.. the ride was all bumpy... nothing NEAR what my car is like (stock springs).. is the ride suposed to suck that bad?? or is sumthin rong with his car.. i would expect there to be less bumps..

could be crappy springs/coilovers/ or maybe blown shocks it all depends on his type of suspension setup.!

damn civic01vtec i was just lost staring at your little vid of the girl. i was stuck on that for like 5 mins. haha but anyways i have my car dropped like 2 and something inches on skunk2's and my rides not that bad just a little bouncy here and there, but my friend with cheap *** coilovers rides sucks huge ***** it was hella bouncy. i guess its the type you have.

He probably doesnt have aftermarket shocks. with those lowring springs. Rides pretty good on tein s tech springs. Of course not near good as stock but whatever. Coilovers ride perfectly fine. (I had tein ss fullcoilovers, excellent ride, stiff) Sleeved coilovers will ride crappy with oem shocks. I can live with little bumpy ride.

i used to have h/r sport springs...the ride didnt suck that bad...a little worse than stock but i liked the added stiffness...to each his own i guess...

I'm giving you this advice totally blind, but get adjustable Konis or whatever those ads are for where they say "Auto-x... Drag Racing... Hot Date" and they have a gloved hand turning a **** to adjust the ride stiffness. You can set it really stiff for driving around town, and then soften it up for those long trips. The only downside to this is that you're gonna be spending a lot more money. It'll probably be closer to $800 or more as opposed to just $200 for springs.
