OK, so here goes. Tonight about 6 I was going with one of my friends over to his house. It had been kinda drizzling most of the day, but hadn't been raining for a while, so the roads were sorta wet, but you didnt' notice it... Anyways, we were both goin around this bend which is really notorious for wrecks, partially because it's a lot sharper than it looks. Also, thers a drive that intersects it right at the apex of the turn. SO we were goin like 30-35 up to this turn, probably 30 starting around it, and then this *** looks like he's gonna pull in front of me from that drive. So I swerve to the left, but I was already getting close to the max. traction goin around that turn, so I proceeded to do a 180 plus 90*, then my bumper ran into the ditch on the right side of the road, and I bounced back onto the road facing where I'd just come from. The weird thing is, my friend, who was right behined me, tried to stop but in doing so he couldnt turn, so he went face-first into the ditch. His car got pulled out, and there isn't even a scratch on it. Mine, though, is different. The front bumper is all bent out of proportion, and some at the bottom is broken. The AC radiator and the part of the frame right there seems to be bent a little bit, and the Grille is broken off, my headlights are turned up, and the hood might be bent; but it might just be the front frame. Also, my amp got ripped from its seating in my trunk; i hope it works ok still, havent tested it though. Bottom line is I'm ok, and my friend's ok. Neck's a little stiff, but I'm ok. I've only had my license for like 6 months, and ive already had an accident (not with another car, but ther's probably $1000 worth of damage, all depending on how badly the frame and radiator is damaged). I don't expect you to read all that, but I had to get it out. Bleh. My parents were pretty cool though. It's pretty lucky though, that we just happen to have an extra car because my brother bought a new one, so his old one is here that I'll be driving. Here's what I really wanted to say; TO ALL THOSE NEW DRIVERS WHO THINK YOU CAN PUSH THE CAR AS FAR AS YOU WANT; YOU CANT! Its VERY easy to loose traction, especially on wet roads, and once it's gone, it never comes back. It's all a blurr, but all I remember is facing the left side of the road, cranking the wheel to the right, and then bumping up and down a lot. After that, I was like "this can't be real. I didn't just wreck my car, this can't happen!" But you know what, it did. Just a real life warning to those who haven't wrecked yet. I thought I never would, in fact I'm a pretty good driver, but it doesnt take much to change all that. OK, I'm actually done now. If you read all that, and are still reading, you get a pat on the back. I could never do that.

yeah; im thanking god a thousand times that I'm alright. It could have turned out much worse. A couple of years ago a friend of my mom's had a real serious wreck not 5 feet from where my friend ended up. Hey, maybe with the front bumper gone I can get my parents to pay for part of a body kit .......

yeah im kiddin about the body kit. I'll probably not be spendin much on my car in the near future. FIrst, my parents may make me pay for some of the damage, which would hamper my funds, and secondly I don't really want to right now. I'm lucky to have a car to drive at all, but its an old Saab that smells like *** inside. Even with no modification, I would be so greatful just to have a stock civic right now, without the whole front end bent up. I know you hear everyone say this, and you blow it off just like you did the million times before, but it's true; you really don't know what you have until it's taken away. Or just damaged like mine is.
