personal alarms would work good in this case too.
Just park next to a nicer car with a louder system haha. Either that stick one of them ADT home alarm system stickers to your window lol. Seriously dont take my advice. make sure you have home owners insurance or full coverage on the car just in case it does get broken in to.
Yeah I would say move or get some plate numbers if something happens. Also an alarm, I am not big into systems so I would sell them if you are that worried. Or make sure you have a good deductible and photos with reciepts of everything you have bought for your ride. My sisters ride got messed with this past week messed up the passenger side lock, searched the car and found the face plate and stole the deck but nothing else.
Either way thieves suck and I hate people looking at my car too and staring at it. Those are the days I wiash I still had my beater car.

just wake up in the middle of the night for a bunch of nights and hit the panic button for about 15 seconds... that way they'll think there is something (no matter if its a person or a cat) near ur car, and that you do, in fact, have an alarm. and i doubt they will think you are just hitting your panic button if u do it at a time where everyone is sleeping. and hopefully it will wake them up from their nice sleep. dumb idea, but its worth not having ur car not broken into.

I would say an alarm a with pager system would work outstandingly. Oh and decent mm handgun so you can run outside ARMED AND DANGEROUS when and if they're still there trying to brake in your car.
Otherwise, park your car in an enclosed garage place. My garage has cameras, but sometimes the janitors can be lazy with them.

I've had my deck taken earlier this year and Im runnin stock deck with my system until the new year. I still keep my trunk locked and I got an alarm. If people want to steal from you, they WILL. Just make sure u take your face INSIDE with you and not just hide it in the driverside panel or under your seat or anywhere, take it with you. Ive been hit up twice and now im so paranoid that is ridiculous. I wake up automatically in the middle of the night and look out at my car. Even when im just at home chillin I get up and go look at it and sometimes key the alarm just to make sure I set it.
Always be alert (and it seems like you are). As far as your system, sometimes i bump my system by my apt. but I look at it like this, I paid for everything in my car and if I want to listen to my music I will. Whos to say that the same guys you see looking at your sh*t at your apartment arent the same guys you pull up by at the stop light 15 miles away from your house when your blasting it? Just turning down your system wont do, you can but I dont see the point anymore so I just say ***** it.

I used to live in the ghetto and I had this problem especially with thugs commenting on my rims. I got an alarm. I moved. Problem solved.

Well, my trunk lid is actually tied down to the floor and locked. Picking the lock will not do it. I still need to add some more things. The problem is they might get pissed and start trashing the car or mess with your gas tank or stuff under the hood.
I need TP for my bunghole

Get the alarm with the siren.
and have it hooked the car horn too.
then upgade the horn with an air horn so that mother is super loud!
As for the trunk also lock the seats so they cannot get into that way either.

the reason new alarm systems are made with better features is because thiefs eventually figure out ways to avoid setting old alarm systems off while they steal ppls stuff. Also 9 times out of 10 the very person that installed your alarm system is the individual stealing or helping others steal things from your car. Also even though those blue LED VIPER badges look really cool they also tell thiefs what alarm system you are using making it even easier for them to break into your car. A tip i have learned is to display a alarm system you arent actually using that way the thief will think you have that alarm but will be in for a surprise. Last my alarm combo is pretty good and i havnt had one break in heres my list of alarm equipment: Clifford Alarm, Motion Sensor, Truck/Hood Pins, Secondary Battery located inside of the car so if a thieft cuts the main battery power i have a back up system
Nothing works better than a Chris except a Honda.

Install all the stuff that can make it harder to get. Like a club, a pedal locking thingy and whatever you can install to deter theft. If someone is persistant enough they will eventually get it. I don't suggest displaying whatever alarm system you have either. I don't suggest displaying whatever mods audio/engine you have either. The next thing is don't leave it with your windows down/sunroof open/doors open. The last thing is hope to God that your car doesn't get stolen.

or you could use a prox sensor set it real low so when someone sits in your seat with the alarm armes the air bags knock his a$$ out somethig firece

The club is such garbage. All you have to do is cut the steering wheel and it comes right off. I may look into the brake pedal lock, since you have to push the brake to put it in gear. I know a place where an installer would code duplicate tranceivers and hand them out along with addresses. Thieves would just unlock the car and drive away. That's messed up.

How about theft proofing your car as much as possible. Take into consideration that most theives are gonna go for HU, amps and subs. Detachable face plates are agood start. I've heard of people building "theft-proof" speaker boxes. Such as putting an extra piece on around the speaker box to cover the screw holes and bolting down the speaker box to the floor from inside the box. As far as the amp goes, could get away with hiding it somewhere or making some kind of setup for that too. Mainly what I would focus on is making the thief waste time trying to get to it. The more time they spend tinkering with it the more likely he/she will get busted. So like everyone else said, get an alarm that always helps.

you have to remember most times, especially with new cars, theives arent looking to steal your car, they just want everything inside it. so, getting the club and the brake lock thing isnt gonna do much anyways. Novac3 has to best idea. make your car so annoying, loud, and as hard as possible to rob as possible IF someone decides to jack your stuff.
by making your car as loud and as hard to steal as possible, theives will eventually give up. the most important thing, i think, is to install a backup battery and hide it somewhere inside the car, so if the theif cuts the battery, your alarm will still go off for about 15 mins.

Yeah I have the backup battery, but they could easily just cut the wires going to the siren. That's why I'm trying to find a second one to hide somewhere.

My car has been watched several times and my neighbors now hate me and my car. My shock sensor is set so low that the slightest air vibration can set it off. Any time someone drives by with bass (which living in a college apartment complex is quite often) my alarm blares. i used to run check on the car every time it would go off but not any more. Now I just look out the window and check on it. I also have a cheap webcam attached to my computer that is mounted in my bedroom window. It's not much but it has it's own hard drive and when it fills up it starts rewriting itself. It's good enough to pick out decent facial feature pics, good enough to be incriminating. I also remove my faceplate every night and bring it inside the house. Doing these small things has saved me the trouble of going through a break in again. i also have dual sirens hooked up, and good luck to the theif that can find and disable the second one. Security isn't that hard, you just gotta take the steps to protect yourself. Oh, did I forget to mention the Colt 45 in my bedside table? And something about hollowpoints......
