Trade in the vic for this DSM?
well long story short... my parents are moving to the east coast and i cant go with them, so i wanna sell/trade in my car for used car to save some money on payments. I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a faster car as well, when I came across this eclipse.

its about an hour away from me, so i could go check it out in person if i wanted. what do you all think of it? I know its auto, but i have a long commute in traffic everyday and my 5-speed now is kind of a hassle.

it would save me money too. i still owe about 12k on the vic, so if i were to sell it, then refinance for a 8k loan, it would take a good size chunk off my payments.
DSM's can be reliable, but i takes ALOT OF $$$ and time. if you have a lot of both, go for it. if not, find something else.
Also, 2g's have a bad case of crank walk unless they have a 1g 6 bolt motor, DON"T DO IT.

ya, ive decided to pass on it. If i had the money and time for it, i would take it in a heartbeat. But need to find something a little more reliable. Now im thinking like a 96-99 GSR or something along those lines.

good job on passing up the DSM... i know its tempting, but it won't be worth it in the long run...
and buying a modded car takes out all the fun in doing DIY's
