has anyone ever tried to use the stock taillight cover on their altezzas for a stock appearance but w/o the horseshoe look? how do you think this would look? are the mounting locations for the bulbs the same in the TYC altezzas and stock tails? kinda like how people take the cover off teir clear altezzas and put it on their stock tails for the clear taillight look.

I think that you would still have the "horseshoe look" if you used the stock lens. Isn't that design dictated by reflectors?

i think the design is in the actual tail light because it has to be able to keep the light from the parking lights out of the area of the turnsignal and reverse, so i would think that the lens would just be plain red with the possibility of a few reflectors on it, but i do not think the cover dictates the shape. anyone else got any insight on this?

why? it would looks just the same at day and at night it would look like TYC but without the clear lens. it would combine the best qualities of each tail light for one super tail light.

ive been thinking abou this idea also, ive been wanting a "stock" taillight appearence without the horseshoe(which i hate)

is it really that hard to get some red taillights on the market lease:

they make red out taillights search on ebay u can prob find them and they dont have the horseshoes they have a circle

a member named "pleasejoe" or "please" something has done it before. he had a babyblue vic with all these bodys mods. it didn't look bad. it's very possible. i think he even did a diy in his thread. look his name up and his thread.
