Valve Cover - Opinions Wanted

i want to dress up my engine bay, so far i have done nothing to it but i was considering powder coating the valve cover.

Today a friend tells me that he owns a Powder Coating/Chrome shop, so he will do it free for me.

But i was thinking, i dont know how chrome would look, if anyone have pics of chromed engines and can post them or send them to me please do it.

But overall.. What you think that would be the most eye candy.. Im planning on getting Polished Intake or in dismiss Polished turbo piping.

Thanks for your suggestions.

chrome is nice.. but theres a lol of up KEEP involved... thats a very, dusty , dirt prone area in our cars... and it would require a toothbrush cleaning every week...

for sake of cleaning id say pic a color and powder coat it that.. but just my 2 cents..

Yeah chrome is too hard to keep clean... I'd pick an overall color scheme for the engine bay and powder coat the engine color that color... Just and idea...

since my car is white and my interior is totally black, not black/grey i decided to go with black/white scheme (black rims etc)

So if i powder coat it would be white.. and as you say its hard to keep chrome clean i would think that white would be the same...

White or Chrome?

i think that white would be on the rice side.....so i same chrome it. But just make sure that you want to go with that "bling" look if your going to go that way.

Tru, they are hard to keep as clean. But when I saw it on your car Vin, it was blinging.

A toothbrush? Doesn't have to be that extreme.

If you are used to keep a clean car, and are conscious of the detailing under the hood then get chome because it really looks nice.

Powdercoating would be substantially easier to maintain...
1) its very difficult to scratch it
2) you don't need to polish it
3) its pretty slippery, most stuff doesn't stick to it, what does, just wipes off

My wheels are powdercoated... its wonderful... I don't need to worry about them at all (other than I'm **** about them being clean).
