Should I shave my emblems?

My trunk is getting repainted on Tuesday. Should I ask them to leave the emblems off? I have a black coupe. Im kinda throwing the idea around in my head but I cant decide. I think the car would look better with no badging on the back. I want my car to look as stealthy as possible.

I suppose I can put some of that special shiney paper on the back of the adhesive and save them in my box o' car receipts incase I sell it, then I can just stick them back on...

Also, my bumper was recently painted, and the SI sticker got put back on. I was wondering if It would take the paint off if I tried to peel it off? What method should I go about doing that?

shaved is the way to go...have them fill the two holes before they paint the lid

I don't know about the sticker because it was probbaly put on right after being painted, but the emblems leave them off, it looks good. With what he said about the holes, don't worry about that unless you want to leave the H symbol off also, which I prefer to stay on. Just get an aftermarket one that matches your color scheme.

I shaved everything off the back of mine, but I left the "H" on because I wanted stupid people with stock Civics to see me drive by and wonder what kind of Honda I'm driving and then wonder if they could've bought one.

have them shave the holes for the H and the keyhole too.......dont forget u have the trunk release inside the car next to the drivers seat.....besides how many times do u use the key to open the trunk? i had my car for 2 years and i think i used it 3 times

^^ you think that you dont use it, but when you shave it, you miss it.. REALLY..

i installed a remote opener because of that.. opening the door to open the trunk is really a big job some times..

so im gonna use his thread to ask a question. im shaving the civic and the ex emblem but i wanna take the h off paint it black and put it back on. does it just pop out the holes and pop back in. HELP before tomorrow afternoon please!
