My K20A2 Swapped 2001 Civic, wrecked
Im not posting too much details right now, cause i still dont know all the details...but i will give you guys a run down.
I have a 2001 Civic Coupe with a K20A2 swap running for about 4 weeks...my car last night was hit hard!
I was at an intersection starting to roll...clutch not even out in first gear when all of a sudden a Miata with no headlights on and a fully drunk driver doing atleast 85mph hit my rear end. She pushed my car 250 feet. My car is done, i dont have it appraised yet, but i am sure it is. Before some of you people ask, i dont know what im doing with my car/motor. I will have to wait to see how its appraised...but i might be selling my entire car with motor swap done. The front end wasnt touched at all, so thats still all good thank God. So, please, dont make any offers, or call dibs on it right now, cause i dont even know whats gonna happen.
Just thought you guys would like to know. No one was hurt really bad fortunately...the drunk driver is in jail right now.
More updates as they come to me.

That really sucks man. Do you feel alright? I never thought a Miata could really mess up anything other than maybe a mountain bike. Well, I guess it's time for a new car so you can do bigger and even *gasp* better things!
Do you have any idea what the insurance company will give you for all your stuff? I always wondered how they'd handle it if a highly modified car got wrecked.

That sucks! But cars are expendable. Damn drunk drivers!
Did anyone ever notice that as soon as someone has something nice, or special, someone else comes along and totals it?
Been there.....
Maybe a chance to move to an RSX??
Good luck, and glad U are OK.

thanks everyone for caring! Really, its nice to have people be sympathetic. I am seeing a doctor tomorrow about my neck that has gotten worse ever since last night, and my left arm that has also gotten worse.
I am getting the car appraised probably tuesday, so i will see how much i am getting then.
Ive been thinking about just cheap performance, im thinking RB26DETT in a older 240sx or 180sx, modify the engine a little, do mainly suspension and be done at 10 grand. Still depends on the appraisle, and if it is totalled how much i can sell it to someone for.
Updates as they come

Thanks again for the support.
Things arent looking too bad on the very early car hunt. I can get a 95 240 sx for around 5 grand, and a S14 or S15 SR20DET clip for about 3 grand and run 13.5's all day in stock form. Sounds like fun, and RWD would be nice to have.
You will probably see my car on EBay if things go the way im pretty sure they will go, in the next month or so. I will probably have the reserve set at 10 grand...yea, sounds like a lot, but really think about what you would be getting. K20A2 swap completed in a 2001 civic (its all done, all you would have to do is transfer it to your car), 4 rims (one scatched one), 4 extremely new tires (put on Friday Oct 10th, one has a hole in it though), CAI, DC rear lower tie bar, Neuspeed Short Shifter, camber kits, TEIN SS coilovers (all should be still good, maybe not the rear passenger side one though), 2002 Civic Si axles, dry cell battery, TYC black projectors, Altezza grill, shift ****, and pedels, and whatever else you can find in the car (i.e.-seats, etc.). Its all there ready for a new home. So i think 10 grand is fair...7 grand for the motor swap, 1500 rims and tires, 1500 coilovers, all the little stuff (roughly) 2000, plus a car. We will see how people react to my reserve though on Ebay, i hope that i can get that much if not more.
I will have more updates on Thursday

Glad your alrite. It sucks that you put all that time and money into your car just to have some drunk *** idiot hit you and mess it up. He better go to a "pound you in the ***" prison.
i feel you on that man, sorry to hear that ! hey , your ok, thats all that matters, a cars a car , but a life is far greater than anything else. that sr20det motor sounds like its gonna be a drifter.....good luck , hope everything works out,........lataz
I'd say if I had the money I would pay 7500-8500 no more, cause not everyone has a 7th gen looking to swap, the swapping into another car would still be a b*tch and the other stuff wouldnt add up to too much over 2Gs alone.

but there is nothing that they would have to buy. Its all there, all they would have to do is labor charges, or if they wanted, to put it in their selves. No missing parts or anything.
My friend got my car today at his house, he thinks that the coilovers are just fine as well...so we will see. I am getting it appraised by my insurance company, but they wont be able to cover all the aftermarket stuff on the car, so i am gonna have the insurance company for the other driver cover the prices for all the aftermarket stuff since i didnt have to get my car insured by them, they would have to pay all of that stuff. Then sell my car ontop of that, and then maybe a nice pain and suffering check. I do have whiplash according to my doctor, and that is all on file now. In some cases, the insurance company will give me a pain and suffering check that is equal to 3 times my medical bills...so we will see. More updates later.

well, my appraiser isnt makin it out to see my car till thursday now. But i dont really care, its the other persons insurance company that i want to hear from. Since i didnt endorce any of the extra stuff on my car, my insurance wont cover it, but the other company should pay me enough to replicate what i had...and i figured that out to be just over 10 grand minus the car. So if they give me that amount plus the value of the car, plus pain and suffering, and i sell my car on ebay for around 10, and i sell all the extra crap for my car that i have now, then that would make for an amazing S13 240SX, and i would be able to pay off all my debts, and have money left over. Wish me luck.
