My new Ford Ranger system finally finished.

Well I finally finished putting the system in my new Ford Ranger supercab. Overall I love it.

Not that anything goes as planned but it didn't. Not even close. I wanted to do 8's in the rear doors but that got way too complicated. There was a big beam to stop the door from opening too far that took up the whole middle of the door when it shut. Of course the seat belt mechanism and door opening mechanism took up another huge chunk of the door. Plus where the factory speaker hole was there wasn't enough depth. The goal was a stealth install and that wasn't going to happen.

I ended up putting the subs on the back floor firing down right under where the jump seats go. This way they were not in the way if I have people in the back. The other plus is the speaker is protected. Guests can step on the boxes getting in or I can throw crap back there and won't have any issues.

Overall I am amazed by the output these JL 8w3's can do. I am powering them off an Alpine M350 (700x1). Its like god damn! And the JL XR 5x7's up front are amazing too. They are so so clear. I like them better than my Diamond M6's in my Civic. I am powering them off a Alpine T220 (90x2). I hid the crossovers in the center cubby between the seats. Overall it turned out great.

looks nice...very stealthy. Do the Alpine amps work well for you? I was planning on a Rockford Fosgate for my future sub setup, but am thinking about Alpines.

The Alpines are great. I have Kickers in the Civic. Both are great but the Alpine has a better crossover 24db vs 12db.
