My new DC Sports 4-1 header

I just got my header and found out it was small and does go all the way down to the cat like most of the previous civic headers. Not what I expected. I thought the guy had ripped me off for a minute. This same thing is true about the size of the header for everyone else right?

doesnt do

Though you say it doesnt do barely anything to our cars, I have noticed a nice increase in power with the new header and the only other things that I have done differently was put new plugs in and add a new AEM CAI to replace a generic CAI. I have noticed the difference between the stock manifold and the new header is the way the 4 pipes come together. Its not as restricted in the DC header. I think this new design is going to be a common one because if I'm not mistaken I think have seen other new cars with this type of exhaust manifold.

With my Injen CAI and DC TCS exhaust, adding the DC stainless header made the exhaust note a little louder, gives me slightly-improved accelleration from about 4K+, and it's some nice blingin' under the hood. . . .

. . . .most importantly, I get detonation every once in a while.

I said is was a noticable increase in acceleration. . .not a significant one.

Cost per HP on this mods sucks the fatty.

I dont know how well your engines are running guys, but my increase in power was very noticable. I actually feel pick up from a little past 3,000 rpm all the way up to the red line. The down pipe which is actually a part of the cat seems to be as big as it needs to be in order to get optimal performance, so I'm not discounting the header just because its size. This is the way the header was meant to be and I'm thinking we may see more headers like these in the future that belong to other 4cyl cars. I agree with the last guy said. The DC header, either way is still way better than the stock and you DO get more hp, so how is it NOT worth it? Thats the question!

Dollar to hp may be crappy but the cost of this upgrade still remains relatively inexpensive compared to other upgrades. Me personally, I have no regrets about paying $300 for the header. I feel I got my monies worth, but thats just my opinion.

Well. . . it IS a big shiny thing under the hood.

Relatively inexpensive? Compared to what? A turbo setup, perhaps.
