The coolest device on the planet...In my Civic!
Well let me tell you toting around 300+ CDs became a major pain, especially when I wanted to find a certain song. So, I went out and bought a 30 Gig iPod. This thing rocks!! The HON-AUX adapter, which turns the CD changer input into a pair of RCAs, came in the mail today, so I hooked it up and took some pics. It sounds awesome, and it feels great having my car free of CD clutter.
I'll be getting a mount for it sometime soon, and a Belkin power supply/line out. I'll update the pics once I do.

Nice my friend got one - even paid the extra cash to have his name laser etched on it. I myself use my Sharp Zaurus for an mp3 player and my cd player in my car (eclipse of course ;-)) plays mp3 cds anyways.
Thanks for the comments. I got the adapter here. Funny thing is the price went up from $49.95 to $69.95 2 days after I bought it. I got lucky I guess.
It works great though. Just plug it into the back of your head unit and press CD/TAPE, it will cycle from CD to CD changer. You'll need a RCA to headphone jack cable also.
Here is a DIY that some guy did on his Civic, but it's down right now. It should come back up sometime soon though.
Gotti, what kinda Pod do you have? What software do you use? I use Ephpod, but I've had a few problems with it.

So u just copy all ur cds to the ipod and connect the adapter to radio and ipod
Does it change the way it sounds like will it still be as loud or lower or what. Damn I need to get one cus I have to many cds. Would be nice to not have cds in my car at all.

Yup you just convert your CDs to MP3, then transfer to the iPod. It takes like 5-10 seconds for an album to download. The sound quality is great, and it will be even better once I get the Belkin adapter with line-out.
I got ther PIE adapter, when I ordered it on Sunday it was only $49.95.
A MP3 Walkman is cool, but it's not as cool as an iPod

Yeah it will work with an aftermarket head unit. You just have to buy the aux adapter for that manufacturer. What kind of HU do you have?
The iPods cost $299, $399, and $499 for the 10, 15, and 30 gig sizes.

You have to get a RCA to headphone jack cable, which Radio Shack has for like $5-10. You could also get the Belkin Autokit which docks at the bottom and has a line-out. It will charge the iPod while it's in the car and the line-out gives a little cleaner sound than the regular headphone jack. This only works on the 3G (Touch wheel) iPods.
Yeah you can still play CDs.
