I made my own short ram intake my using the INJEN CAI and cutting off an addition to the first part of the intake. The reason for this is my friend hydrolocked his car by sucking up water into his intake. So is this a good or bad thing i did?

Dumb. you shoulda just put an AEM bypass on it.

either way you need to modify upper part of injen cai to make aem bypass to fit.
