Urethane vs Fiberglass
i have a question... i was lookin at body kits.. and i hear yall talkin about it alot.. but what is the MAIN difference between Urethane and Fiberglass?
my buddy has a 97 prelude, and he went through 3 Fiberglass front bumpers in 2 months around here. The roads arent even that bad here, but his car is slammed, and speed bumps suck! Just food for thought.

Urethane is a much better quality than fiberglass. I think urethane is unbreakable.

urethane is generally better for street-drivne cars becuase of its durability. however, most all-out show cars have fiberglass kits because many high-end bodykit makers (buddy club, veilside, etc) make exclusively fiberglass kits.
there are, however, a large amount of cheap fiberglass replica kits, which are generally flimsier than their high-end counterparts, and that is one of the main reasons that people believe fiberglass is a "lower quality" material than polyurethane.
and please, this topic has been discussed repeatedly. are the opinions in those threads so few and unimportant that it warrants you creating a new one?
when fiberglass cracks and breaks and all that good stuff it sucks to refinish... expensive, well at least in my case it will be expensive to refinish my fiberglass front end... I'd rather have urethane
bondo + adhesion promoter + primer + paint for just the damaged part is generally less expensive than stripping and repainting the entire piece as you would have to do for most urethane parts.
btw what happened to your front?
btw what happened to your front?
i got a fiberglass buddy club kit and ive cracked it twice resulting in like 400 dollars of damage, but i feel urethane is better, the octane kit at www.visionautodynamics.com in my opinion the best urethane kit out there that ive seen, unless bc makes a urethane
