This question is directed to all the ppl. who have K20A swaps......How much horsepower are you getting from this swap?? At the wheels or any other way. I am contemplating either getting turbo or doing a K20A swap but I don't know. Any help is appreciated!!

horsepower does NOT change simply by pulling the k20 from the RSX or SI (what have you) and putting it in our coupes! think about it. read the specs for the SI or RSX.

k20 swap needs the k20 transmission too. i'd rather not have a d-series tranny bolted up to a k-series motor (not like it'd work, anyway)

Stage III like 500HP
Stage II like 300HP

Yea, if you have a crappy header and intake. People are getting around 185 at the wheels with just I/E. Adding Hondata onto a CAI setup, and then something like a Comptech Race header will put you over 200whp. If you dont believe me, go on clubrsx.com. That site is my other home away from home. And actually this discussion was on there recently.

500whp is a nice number an all, but i dont understand how people plan on hookin their tires up to the ground with that much power. Ive seen people with extremely high horsepower hondas running against mildly modded hondas, and the extreme hondas would lose, cause they cant hook up. Just something to think about before your eyes get too big.

Hasport turbo 7thgen k20a w/ turbo is putting out 308 and 200tq numbers. So say they on they're website. Theres a thread about it that i read today search for it.

Dynosheets? List of mods? Not that it's unbelievable as it sure it but I'd like to see some details before the fact/guestimation sheet is tossed out. It's believable a K20A2 can withstand 300 at the wheel on stock internals but what about 500? I doubt it.

and no.. from stage II and on, the turbo kit comes with "aftermarkes" internals..

when they have the intake, intake gasket, header, hondata flash and exhaust some members have gotten 13.8 on stockies now they have cam shafts that will give them 20 hp to the wheels since it is a upgrade for the type R. and they can upgrade their pistons to type R.... i bet you with all that stuff they can get low 13's or even 12's on a NA with out huge and very expensive upgrades

K-series are great engines....

Tho somp people say the are inconsistent on the dyno.....

Meaning it is hard to pull like 3 consistant runs......I don't know why this is, but I am sure someone does know

O...BTW, A type S (K20A2) usually put down like 155-165 whp on the dyno's

Like I said the K-series is very inconsistent on the dyno......Since your getting your # from a magazine, read the Import Tuner magazine that you are getting that number from and you will find that out. Its in the Issue after that. Its in the one with the article about the Toda Camshafts for the K20. It says they are really inconsisent on the dyno (Since you are using a magazine as evidence, I just thought I might too)

all i know is that i want one... its inconsistent because every bodys dyno sucks, when you mass produce something like a k20 everything has to be the same...blueprintted
